Played OK but no more then we have in small doses recently but for a slightly longer time. Still too many passengers in the team and mostly not playing in anywhere near the level they should be playing.
Sunderland are poor very poor and the by far the poorest team we have seen at the bridge for a long long time and even saying that they at times looked better then us. Of course people with extremely low standards will talk about the game and overhype some performances and some players abilities but that is normal nowadays, everyone is "word class" when they are no more then top players Shackles off ? What nonsense. |

Exactly. We played as well as that against Porto. Sunderland are very likely to get relegated so it's hardly some great achievement beating them
Shackles off ? What nonsense. Was it not a Sunderland team who was relegated with the lowest points ever? That team was better then the current one. Yes we still had to play to a certain level to beat them and yes at times we have had issues to do so but over the last couple of weeks or so we have been playing at that level a number of times. At the same time we saw many aspects of our issues this season are still present. It is utterly impossible to learn anything from yesterdays performance. |

A nice gesture from JT:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35141989 Fans have little idea what goes on behind the scenes, and for some people to start booing players who are suddenly springing to life is unfair. Most fans want the team to win, irrespective of the manager, and they want to see players play to their full potential, as Oscar did on Saturday. I find it bizarre that a few people who call themselves 'fans' would chant against a team that is suddenly free to play football. Guardiola is by far the best manager in the world, and he could be on his way. I'm not convinced by Simeone. He speaks no English, and has only managed in Spain. Some say that Guardiola is definitely on his way to City. If that is the case, it could wreck City's season, as Pelligrini is hardly going to be motivated by a certain sacking. |

There was more team chants at yesterdays game then there has been for a long time.
So anyone who says there was chants against the team is very mistaken. But of course they are only going on what they was told or their own personal agenda. In fact there was the normal "Christmas" time chants. Born is the king of Stamford Bridge and His name is Tommy Baldwin,Boys from Division two, etc. These of course are sung throughout the season but seem to be sung more around this time of year, I think its because we see a different type of fan attending games around now. |

Any player suddenly "playing to their full potential" is also going to raise suspicions, because very few people (even among your beloved media pundits) actually believes the "playing without shackles" nonsense. Think about it logically, if half the work force suddenly up their productivity after an unpopular manager left, you would probably conclude that they hadn't been pulling their weight previously. Now you could take that as a vindication of getting rid of the manager, but it also doesn't relect well on the work force (in this case, some of the players). |

Two completely unconnected groups of players [Real Madrid and Chelsea] turn against the very same person. For me, that tells me the one person must be screwing things up very badly. Yet again. Jose has proven his methods only work for a very short period of time. If you want to rip things up and win a 'big one' within a season or two, then see everything fall apart and have to start all over again, then Jose is your man. Glad he's gone! Now we can get back to being a 'normal club' again, and no longer have to put up with all the BS that goes with being the Jose Mourinho show. |

Shackles off ? What nonsense. He was instantly transformed back to the player he was before Jose came in and destroyed him! From look like a player we should be getting shot of asp, back to one of those we must keep and build on for the future, as we were doing before Jose came back. Build for the longterm future, not to look for a quick fix to win a big one then end up a complete shambles. |

To say the shackles were not off Oscar, must mean you watched the match with your eyes closed.

Mikel on, Ramires on, so none of your usual criticism of that ??? |

Is that some kind of code for us getting close every season without actually winning anything ? Arsene Wenger would be your man for that, and they play pretty football. |

Shackles off? Played with Freedom, Smile on their faces blah blah blah any more football sayings we want to come up with? Cannot think of another professional sport where such nonsense is banded about. to give people excuses for not doing their jobs.
Oscar had a very good game but that is it. Nothing amazing but a very good game which he has had before. Am a big fan of Oscar and have a feeling he is has more of a better attitude then some players and has a better mindset but for such a young player he has played an awful lot of football and at a very high level and with intense pressure. I don't think he is the type of player to worry about such nonsense as where the manager wants him to play or how, Watching him play he seems to be the type of player who will do his best no matter what role given to him if it benefits the team no matter his personal tastes and wishes, I just not sure at the moment he is able to turn it onto the pitch. |

Perhaps we should arrange to get him back every two or three years then, or whenever we want to win a few things ?

With that kind of praise from the manager, I can't see why Oscar should have had any problems with Mourinho. Oscar had been incredibly inconsistent with or without Mourinho as manager, and Jose may have given him a bit of a verbal roasting this season, but he can expect that from any manager. |

Well he would be let go regardless of how well he does I should say. Personally I'd give him another season of the manager targets are not available.

A few papers are going with this. Man city boss to Chelsea. Seems to be as if he leaves city there would be no compensation to pay. Is he that good a boss though? I guess he did win the title at city. |

At least we are settled now, for a while
Thankfully, lets hope the media circus surrounding us has moved on to united and liverpool. I'm not sure how i feel about Jose at United (which is going to happen), he may ruffle too many feathers there too - and would be short term. Pep is the one to go for. |
