After all the bad luck in the CL, the year we won the CL, winning it was all that mattered!
We'd gone too long without winning the title, so winning it again last season was more important than the style of play.
To me, it's all about where your club is at.
If i was a Villa fan, i wouldn't give a toss about style of play or entertainment. I would take the most boring football you'll ever see if it meant staying up.
If i was a Liverpool fan i would take any style of play to win the league again.
If i was a big club in the lower divisions, i would take any style of play to get us back into the Premiership and any style to stay there.
We've had amazing success over the last 15 years or so and won everything there is to win. It's time we started to try and win with real style. It can be done, as Carlo proved.
