If there was a actual formula for transfers and putting a value on a player (other then personal view nonsense) then maybe he would be worth that but since the fee's when dealing with players at the top end of the market are often no more then a excise in face saving its highly unlikely we will get near 100m (although we managed to get a excellent fee for Mata and Cech and Luiz so it is possible).
We have to look at what they offer for example a high fee plus a player (that might push the deal near the 100m mark) and take it from there. His wages are prob amongst the top earners in the league at the moment so again something to take account of (more so when he will prob want a new deal in a season or so). So really until the new manager is named and starts work its not really something we can think about. He might have a very different idea of his value to the team. |

Hazard leaving at the end of the season? It's rumoured in highly respected sources such as the Daily Star (
) that he might be on his way to Real for £100 million. If a player is set on leaving, it's best to let him go, as keeping him could be detrimental to the club. I'd want him to stay and think he's our best player, but is £100 million enough if he did leave? I'd say £150 million is a more realistic figure. He's young still, and yet to peak, has a great attitude, is usually fit for every game, makes himself available, is a great team player, assists as well as scores and fits in straight away. When Man Utd sold Ronaldo for £80 million, imo they were ripped off, and apparently Real quickly recouped the money spent on shirt sales alone. Neymar's release clause is said to be £140 million, and I rate Hazard as better. If Neymar came to the PL, who's to say he wouldn't be another Di Maria, and not be able to adapt to a more physical, faster league? Hazard on the other hand adapted from day one and made an instant impact, with fantastic assists and goals. Someone will inevitably be the first £100m player, but I don't think it will be Hazard. Ronaldo looks a bargain at £80m by today's standards, but it seemed an enormous sum seven years ago. But I've no doubt that if he was on the market today at the same age, the price would probably be over the £100m. Once you get to the huge sums we're talking about there's not many clubs competing anyway. You don't get the same bidding wars that occur in the 20, 30, 40m bracket. I would have put Hazard's value at around £60-70m I think if Gareth Bale did come to us in some kind of exchange, we'd be the ones having to pay extra in cash. |

Neymar is Messi's heir, whereas Hazard is not even fit to have the same hair as Messi!

That's the value I would think too, and if he doesn't get back to something resembling last season's form between now and the end of the season then I wouldn't have any issue if we were to accept an offer in that ballpark.
Its a more sensible figure that will suit all parties |

I know form is temporary etc but I don't think Hazard has done his value any favours and the perception of his attitude could well be making potential buyers think twice based on this season.

Well he signed a 5 year contract last season so his value is what Chelsea are prepared to sell him for. Hopefully PSG will want him. If they paid 60 odd for Luiz a centre back then I am sure Hazard is worth quite a bit North of that figure.

Yep, Tip top's posts need to be taken with a large dose of salt. People are foolish if they're taking them seriously.

Well at least Hazard is still wanted by his club.
Or would Chelsea sell him if they received a good offer for him?? |

Or would Chelsea sell him if they received a good offer for him?? He's nothing like the player he was last season, but some people are exaggerating how poor he's been. It's really about a player who was 9/10 nearly every week dropping to 6 or 7. He hasn't been terrible compared with a few others I could mention. |

Well, if you ignore Willian, Zouma and maybe Azpilicueta, Hazard's probably been our best player this season. Even if you go back through the thread here, you will see Hazard mentioned time and time again as our most dangerous player.

The boy is very talented no doubting that from my end, he just hasn't as far as I can see done as well as last season (which was always going to be very hard for him to follow up on). |

Fair enough, you watch him far more than I do, so you would know how good or not he has been so far this season.
The boy is very talented no doubting that from my end, he just hasn't as far as I can see done as well as last season (which was always going to be very hard for him to follow up on). I would say Oscar, Costa, Fabregas, Matic and poor old Ivanovic have all been worse. A few of those have improved just recently, but not enough to make up for some pathetic performances earlier on. |
