Charlie Austin was for £4m.
There is no point buying a player no matter how cheap he is A loan deal was the only way forward at this point. He is looking for first team football and that's not really what we was looking for. Would be a waste of time and money even offering him a contract |

Austin yeah that's a possibility but would he have been satisfied being 3rd/4th choice striker when he's going to be in the first team usually for Soton? Plus with the very high likelyhood that Chelsea would buy a new striker in the summer regardless and with Falcao potentially coming back from injury, I doubt he'd have wanted to come and end up like Remy(who funnily enough wants to leave due to lack of gametime).
Available to Soton doesn't mean he'd be available to us. Remy might wish to leave due to lack of gametime, but as some of us have said he actually would have played quite a bit more if he hadn't been injured a lot of the times Costa was ruled out. That wouldn't necessarily have been the case with Austin, who I also think is a bit better than Remy. |

With a contact for only a few months?

Would be a waste of time and money even offering him a contract I don't think he's a long term solution to our striker problems, but as things stand now he's capable of challenging for a place in the team. Costa has not been so good that he should be considered a nailed on starter, in fact he's been piss poor this season up until the last few games. A loan deal is only the way forward if the player is worth loaning in the first place. Otherwise we might as well stick with what we've got. Pato just seems like another Falcao/Torres/Shevchenko that's well past his best but we'll see. |

Bamford's gone to Norwich. Can't see much good coming from it to be honest.

Dons v Our Chelsea lads
Won't be an easy match. The dons will be up for it, and it will be nice to see a few younger players given a chance. Let's face it we've fallen behind there after numerous Youth cup and U 21 successes over the past several years. Even Man City are using youth more at the moment, and Liverpool under Klopp are very impressive.
We're on a roll though, and I think our lads will come through with another win. Come on the Chels'! |

Is Kenedy injured as he's not even on the bench? |

3 - 1 half time. Cheeky's playing very well, as is Rahman now he's getting more minutes. Hazard looking more enthusiastic but lacking a bit of match sharpness. Could be 7 - 1 at ht let's be honest. Plenty of free flowing, compact football and they look like a team.
Oscar, hatrick already. Well done lad! The muffins here must be gutted! |

MK Dons have been as bad as anyone we've played all season though, so I don't think this performance will tell us much. |

4 - 1! Eden's back! RLC starting to walk / stroll. He needs to cut that out, although nice to see Traore on and with plenty of mins to go. Fab's quiet.

Sounds like we've decided to let him go. Yet another dreadful decision from the idiots in charge.
Keep Ivanovic. Boot Terry.

John Terry, our greatest ever ( in my opinion ) waved away like he is nothing. The guy IS Chelsea. He's been here since he was a 14 year old kid. 21 years at the club giving everything he could possibly give and now he has been told he is no longer wanted. What a way to treat a club legend. Terry should be retiring a Chelsea player, it should be up to him when he wants to call it a day at the club, not the board. Who will be left at this club that understands everything about it ? there won't be anyone once Terry is gone. A good day after the F.A cup win has now turned into a horrible day for the fans. Just when i thought the ill feeling surrounding the club had disappeared the board come out with this. I hope the fans make it known to the board just how pissed we are with them because i am tired of this crap now. Lampard released and allowed to go to City for a season, Cech sold to Arsenal and now Terry being told he is no longer needed at the club.........it's one thing after another. I'm so disillusioned with the club right now. |
