Yep

Everyone cannot be a starter or a player you bring on. Could we do better? Yep unless we have a player who is truly world class and there are only a small number of them then we will always be able to get a better player in, Can we do worse? 100% yes.

This season he has had a different job then any of his previous seasons. Guss has used him to plug the massive hole that was the start of the season. Not saying for a second he as been the reason for the tiny improvement we have seen but he has come in and been a part of that and that is what he was asked to do. He has not been asked to do anything to do with being fast or do any of the things that people have accused him of not doing

If I was Roman, I'd tell the lads they'll get a tasty bonus if they go and beat the Spurs.
Then, for one night and one night only, I'd OK with Guus for the lads to go out and get completely rat arsed the night before the Leicester game.

I think Roman could offer them his entire fortune and engage every hooker in Europe for the rest of the year and we would still struggle.

I would also not be surprised if they did go out and get hammered the night before a game and play the best they have all season

Ahhh... a reminder of the good old days of Ossie and Hudson.

Furthermore, on the coach on the way to the ground for the Leicester game, the lads can scoff down a curry and Kebab and wash it down with a couple of pints of Guiness.

I have a creeping feeling Spurs are going to win the title.

Naaaa.

They are Spurs even at this stage they will still blow it. Nobody blows anything quite like Spurs can.

Late Injury time "pens" turning a bad loss into a decent draw are more of a hallmark of Champions at this time of the season then any 4-0 win

I really don't expect anything from any of our games remaining apart from getting maybe a lucky or dodgy draw, I not even sure they can get enough toghter to beat Bournemouth at the moment.

I don't think players like Hazzard will even think about this season for a second going forward.”

Well, that goes back to the bigger question about what the hell happened at the club over the summer and continued into this season. We could now be heading for our worse season in the Premiershp, with probably our lowest number of points.I don't think the players will forget that in a hurry, or at least they shouldn't.

I certainly think Hazzard will be be giving it some thought. He finished last season as PL player of the year with the adoration of the media and fans, there's not a top club in the world who wouldn't have given some thought to signing him. He would still be in demand of course, should he want to leave. But he can hardly believe this season has been anything other than a step backwards ?

He might see it was his way out of Chelsea, There was little chance of us letting him go after last season unless it was for an awful lot of money, While after this season its 50-50 and while it will still be nice amount I think you could prob get a slightly better deal. He goes to somewhere like PSG where he will thrive (even in his current form) and this season is no more then a tiny blip on a medal laden career

I doubt we will ever know what caused it at the start of the season but I do think this group of players need to start well if they have any chance of doing something during the course of the season, While previous Chelsea teams and other teams in the league can play catch up after a bad start I cannot see this bunch of players doing the same. You give this bunch of players a top start to the season and I would back them all the way to win the league, Give them a okish or poor one? Then well we can see what happens

We cannot afford to carry players who are so extremely limited. There players out there who can do everything Mikel can do and a whole lot more as well.
IMO, we should offer Mikel & Matic + cash in exchange for Kante. He should be our number one target this summer!

No, this is a different Spurs!
Less flashy and entertaining, but much more steel and consistency.

Yes because they really want to play for Leicester. Their agents would spend the next month in tears of laughter and then call all their mates and tell them that Chelsea have given David Brent a job

They could buy Tata Steel and still wont win the league.

Its like a couple of seasons ago when people was saying Liverpool was going to win the league.

That was never going to happen as well

CL football and possible champs of England.
Nice stadium with a great set of fans.

It's hardly like they'll wanted at Bayern or Barca.

But that Liverpool team was very unbalanced.
Great going forward but shite in defence. They were always skating on thin ice.
This Spurs has a solid look about them that i have never seen before.

Yes because a "nice set" of fans is what players look at.

There is a massive difference between Bayern or Barca not wanting you and going to Leicester.

Come on lets at least have one foot in the real world. With the money on offer in todays game and the different number of top clubs worldwide even being defending Champions and group stage football in the champions league you wont get players of that level going there. They could win awards for their ground and fans and they still wont have a chance

Congratulations to the youth team, European Champions for the second year running. First time anyone has retained it, apparently.

Shakiri surprised a lot of people by going to Stoke,
Besides, i really don't know who you think would be that interested in signing Mikel & Matic? China or a team that makes up the numbers in Italy or Spain is about as good as they'll get and earn less money as well.

I've certainly come over to your way of thinking about Kante, he's a very impressive player. But we would still need alternatives in DM, and we might need to play two on occasion. I don't see RLC in that role, and Fabregas doesn't work in any sort of defensive capacity. I haven't written off Matic yet, he was one of the best defensive midfielders in the PL for the whole of 2014.

Excellent news!
But dont hold your breath waiting for any of them to be given shot in the Premiership.

Remember you view of these players is not the same as clubs worldwide

Leicester are a one season wonder. They will be found out in the group stages of the Champions League, Balancing that with the league will be hard (as Man City have found out) and they will lose some big names as players will want a nice pay day while their stock is high.

Mikel will still attract clubs due to playing for Chelsea for so long. His brand will still be very strong and Matic is young, Clubs do not look at one season like you seem to do when buying and selling players

RLC can do that job but he better when that little bit further forward

Kante is as fit s player as I've ever seen!
His energy level is quite exrodinary and he covers so much ground he can almost do the work of two players.
I said it before that he's a cross between Makalele and Essien. It would be like having both of them back in our team. He really is that good!

Mikel would do ok to join a club like Leicester if he leaves. He won't be joining any of the big clubs in the top leagues if he goes, that's for sure.

Matic will have plenty of offers from some good clubs.
Mikel could go to Stoke or someone of that level, more likely Italy if he wants to play proper football or China or USA for me easy money.
