Yep, I'd have Traore ahead of Remy in the pecking order now, who unfortunately can't be relied upon to ever be fit. Even when either of them have played this season Traore has done more, as you say. Hopefully we can move Remy on in the summer.
He is a decent enough player. When fit and in form he a pretty decent striker just is not good enough to push Costa enough which is not a easy thing to do While we might have to take a hit on the price its worth it to free up a space in the squad and bring in someone who is a massive improvement while of course we have more important positions to fill it is something we need to do and not one we can do on the cheap. |

Carroll has a very good first touch for a big man. Certainly better than Lukaku's !
I would actually like us to sign Carroll. He'd cost a fraction of what it would cost us to buy back Luka. He would be happy to be the number two, bring something to the squad that we do not currently have, and i also think he could work well with Costa, which is something i cannot see Luka doing. Carroll would add value as a bench player, someone to bring on if you were desperate for a goal and wanted to take a route one approach. But he's strictly a "what you see is what you get" type of player. With Lukaku there is still plenty of time for improvement, and he's already at a decent level. |

Please tell me you're not serious...you want us to sign Andy Carroll ! He's not even among the top five English strikers. If Costa was injured you'd really prefer Carroll as a starter in preference to Lukaku ? Yes, he would come at a fraction of the price, but that's for one very good reason..he's nowhere near as good.

If he was not English he might be hawked around the mid to bottom teams for a few million but that's about it. If i needed someone to help keep me up and I was 2/3 points from safety then yes but anything else? |

You don't buy something because its cheaper then something else. Its a awful way to run a corner shop never mind a multi million pound business.
I am need a 3 three bedroom house in Central London i am not going to look at 1 bedroom flats in Bradford no matter how nice it is |

We ask JT who is difficult to handle. He would prob say his misses is difficult to handle after he has been caught with another women. Maybe sign her She on a free, Knows the team etc |

Keeping Remy would be a far more sensible and logical move then signing Carroll

You sneer at the idea of Carroll being at Chelsea, yet you are happy to keep a human statue at the heart of a midfield that cannot cope with any kind of pace running at it.

![]() ![]() One player is already there and one is not. If we was talking about buying the likes of Mikel today then I would not suggest buying him but we are not discussing that. Lets keep it at least somewhere in the same ballpark and not two utterly different circumstances |

So mikkel is distinctly average so we buy Andy Carroll?
Bizarre. Let's shop at a higher table. That striker from atletico looks good. |

So Carroll is not good enough for Liverpool yet we should buy him.
Love the ambition |

Love the ambition Mata was brilliant for us but not so good at UTD. Does that mean he's no longer a good player? Carroll did not fit into the very high tempo style Liverpool want to play. We play a more measured, more varied game and Carroll could fit into this as a squad player. |

Thankfully, football doesn't work as simply as that!

When did Conte tell you how we are going to play?
We don't have the players to play a very high tempo game. We can in short bursts but not for too long. I just think a strike force of Costa, Traore, Carroll + one other would be a good blend of different types of players. |

The fact that according to those who job it is to know these things are suggesting we are after Lukaku and not Caroll (thankfully) is prob more a sign of where we are going next season |

Football's seriously gone mad. Deli Alli was given a rise to £25k a week at Spurs recently, and Zouma is still "only" on £40k a week with us. I think we should call his bluff, nobody else is going to give him anything like that figure. |

It is madness, but we've only got ourselves to blame by (allegedly) paying £65k a week to RLC ( why did we do that by the way, does anyone know ?)
