Would I have preferred him to go abroad, of course! But us Chelsea fans have got used to our legends going to rivals. Its not as if they leave them for us, we let them go, rightly or wrongly! As long as they are respectful, they always get a great reception when they come back to the Bridge.

Do I expect him to come out with the usual drivel to appease Utd fans? Of course, I expect him to take a dig at the Club, and seeing he has been sacked twice, I can't blame him for that. But he had better not have a dig at the fans, we stuck by him unlike other clubs who have booed their Manager for much better performances than ours!

The backtracking of press and Utd fans though is hilarious to watch. His anti youth policy is suddenly being dissected and is not as bad as it looks. And his falling out with everyone is all the other clubs' fault and not his.

Do I expect him to win things whilst he is at OT? Absolutely though not as easy now, with the competition being so much greater in the PL.

Do I expect it to all end in tears? Absolutely.

But I don't think Utd fans will care, after being in the wilderness since Fergie left, they will put up with that.

The hypocricy of some united fans knows no bounds.

Everything they used to berate chelsea and their fans with because of Jose, is suddenly coated with an icing of positive spin.

Eye gouging is suddenly passion
Park the bus football is suddenly a positive, pragmatic and strategic
Buying success is suddenly, here, have an extra £200 million to spend
Not playing youth is changed to "zlatan will be able to influence Rashford when he is on the bench, by watching him"
The treatment of staff at the club, the alienation of players, the mental breakdown, the antagonism towards managers and the press - all forgotten.

After-all, he is a "winner". As chelsea fans, we know what happens to the goodwill of your club and its players when you have that attitude, you become the most hated club in the PL. Well thankfully united have picked up that title and are running with it.

Unfortunately i honestly do not think Jose will win the league with united, and it will soon fall apart. Not because i suddenly think jose is a bad manager, but because the competition is so severe now.

Even Fergie would struggle to win with 7 other decent title contenders in the mix.

AT times Jose was fantastic for us, and put us on the map. At times he was awful, truly awful.

I don't really mind if he has a pop at the fans, Its all part of the "script" that managers have to spout to appease the lower end of the fans, That's why it never really bothered me what Rafa said, He was trying to get a certain section of fans on board and saying stuff about rival's fans is a perfect way to do that. Its no different then when pop stars go from city to city saying to each audience they are the best fans in the world.

No more then Chelsea fans who have ignored "his bad points" and now keep talking about them

I know some fans who was dismissing the current court case as nothing and utter nonsense and a waste of time but now keep going on about it

Some united fans have turned those bad points into positives with incredible spin.

Every fan is biased, of course they are. Overall, as not when he first arrived here, press liked him then.......we have taken so much shit having him as our Manager from press and opposing fans. He is a winner and likes to rub everyone up the wrong way. Always making a headline for the wrong reasons. No-one liked him apart from cfc fans, so it was a siege mentality, we all stuck together and we stuck up for him, warts and all. Now he has left, cfc fans will move on, we have a new Manager now. But seeing all the crap I'm reading now from same press and Utd fans re-writing history, its natural that cfc fans will be pointing out all the negative stuff that said press and Utd fans were saying about him before.

The stick I've taken from Utd fans I've known over the years saying it wouldn't matter how much JM won for them, they would never have him as his football is too negative, he doesn't play youth, he isn't classy enough and basically he is the devil incarnate.....just let me enjoy the backtracking for a bit. Football is a fickle mistress.

All the stick we have taken from United fans the years, is going to come back to haunt them. Im going to sit back and enjoy the Jose and Zlatan show.

I can at least enjoy Jose's pressers now, knowing they won't have an impact on my team. He wasn't himself coming into this season, his dad's ill health, possibly not happy with not being able to buy who he wanted, he had lost his spark and his pressers got more and more depressing and toxic. I started dreading them, knowing we would be headlines for another week.

Generally, this is going to be such a fascinating season.

Would be more nervous if it had not been a logical appointment with regards to Conte.

We would have had a very short list of people the club wanted. Most of those names for a number of different reasons would not have been available (for example Simeone not ready to leave Atletico), Out of all the names the club would have realistically wanted and realistically available he was prob nearer the top of the list.

Any appointment might or might not work out but at least this one makes sense

He's a manager who has won two la Liga titles, the champions league, the Europa league, the F.A cup, the Italian cup, the Italian super up, the community shield and a couple of second division titles earlier in his career.

Acoording to the Metro and other sources Jose Mourinho is lining up a sensational £60million swoop for Chelsea midfielder Willian once he becomes Manchester United manager.
Now as much as I like Willian, that is ridiculous money. But as Willian was the only player to put in any effort for Jose last season, I guess there might be some crazy logic in the rumour.

Don't think he will fit into the type of player they looking to attract plus I think with a massive transfer kitty he could find better deals.

I don't think Willian has signed a new deal recently which would mean I think only 3 years left on his contract which of course would play a part in the fee if they do want him.

But I think we will see lots of these stories in the next few weeks just as we will hear Conte wanting any living Italian player, The Media do really lack imagination when it comes to these sort of stories.

Feels weird to see JM holding a Utd top. But i guess it was inevitable, he was pining for the Utd job ever since his first spell with us, always sucking up to Fergie and Utd as a club. I felt it was always a matter of when he would be manager rather than if he would be.

Im sure he will do well for them, although it will be interesting to see whether he goes for attacking minded tactics(as Utd fans want to see), or goes down a similar route to LVG and prioritises defence over attack(as he did with us for many seasons, and Inter etc)

He likes to build from the back, and puts a lot of emphasis on having a solid defence.
But during his first spell with us, we played some attractive attacking football, despite what a certan couple of posters say. I looked it up, In his first season we scored 3+ goals in 12 Premier League games (including 4+ in 7 games). I thought my memory wasn't playing tricks, we were far from boring and defensive.

Keeping it simple. And I'm not going to mention that traitor mozza! Moving on..

The only attraction I can see is that Stones is English and Lukaku qualifies as home trained (I think). Otherwise your figure is about £35/40m over the top for the actual level they've reached so far.
I'd take Lukaku if Costa wants to leave, but not at £60m. Stones wouldn't even get a start on last season's form, we would be just paying for potential. Have we got that kind of money to gamble anymore ?

As for the idea of someone paying us £15m for Ivanovic, it's utterly fanciful.

Indeed, right now I don't see how Stones would strengthen our back four. We have Zouma who has already achieved a higher level, but he's still learning. Baba Rahman also needs babysitting at LB unless we intend to move him on after just one season.
Another rookie would be a disaster. We don't have the luxury to take chances next season, we've got to get back into Europe immediately or start rethinking future plans.

Yep, we need to bring in an experienced centre-back for now. And we still have Christensen out on loan for another season, so if we're thinking longer term I'd sooner see him given a chance to be a part of the squad when his loan spell expires.
