Yep, he's too lightweight as you say. Think we paid around £23.5m for him, we should just sell for as much as possible now.
) so maybe it puts us in a decent bargaining position. Though as I said previously, Conte apparently likes Cuadrado so it's not out of the question that he brings him back.

Are you saying Jose had no say?
Bizarre He was part of a committee now unless the whole transfer committee at Chelsea have moved to Utd your post about Utd better getting use to bad transfer choices is utterly irrelevant. |

Well, he's had a good season at Juve by all accounts. They have a number of players we could use (even forgetting you know who
) so maybe it puts us in a decent bargaining position. Though as I said previously, Conte apparently likes Cuadrado so it's not out of the question that he brings him back.Oscar could be another potential bargaining tool with Juventus, seeing as they've been strongly linked with him for quite a while now, and Allegri's supposed to be quite keen on him. |

What has Roman got to do with the matter? He will not be on the committee. There are a number of people who will decide who comes and who goes, They have a collective say in the matter that means they are all responsible for any that work out or fail. "pulls the strings"? What is this some penny crime or spy novel? Is his nick-name Mr Big? Does he have a secret lair? Has he a white cat? Does he have a secret identity? |

Yep, and besides United have made enough questionable transfer decisions in recent times anyway without Mourinho's input, so they should already be used to it if anything.
Was Jose partly to blame for any bad signings? Of course but the majority of the committee are still at Chelsea and still having the same say as they did when Jose was here. If we are looking at playing a "blame" game we should not be talking about people or what fans at other clubs need to worry about or get use too but should be talking about those at Chelsea currently and saying "we" should be getting use to "those terrible" transfer decisions |

Nemanja Matic
It has been reported in The Sun that the lad wants a move away to be reunited with mozza. The Sun is not as reliable as The Star when it comes to stories I'll admit that, but I think there will be some credibility in the report.
Similar to Hazard, Matic was a player that was being relied on far too much in the title winning season, and I think that Matic has looked around, and thought, why am I doing so much of the leg work, covering acres of space each match, risking injury, risking burn out, getting up to attack, covering the back four centrally and out wide when required? And, why is it that other players are earning way in excess of £100 k / week, when Matic probably picks up around 70 k? A move to Man Utd would bump his wages up to around £120k and I think that's the reason. At his best, he's a very good player, and a lot better than Mikel who tried and failed near the end of the season to get forward more. Matic is also a lot better defensively. If I were the club and Conte, I'd get to the root, real cause of the woes which is probably money and give him a pay rise. As long as he can get back to the form of a year ago, he's worth keeping. |

We have finally got player wages to a sensible level (even more sensible with the new JT contract) and you want to chuck that out of the window? At the moment nobody deserves a pay increase. |

A player under contract who had a terrible season should get a wage increase of 60k a week? Madness
If he wants out, a club has to pay big money. If he wants out to jose's United, then they will have to double what we paid for him United have money to burn, 30 million on a player with under 30 top league games, madness from Jose today |

I thought Lukaku was poor. I'm personally not keen on the idea of re-signing him. Not good enough to be our first choice, and would be too expensive to justify bringing in as a second choice. For the sort of money we'd have to pay you'd want someone closer to the level of Costa, that's going to push him more for a place in the team. |

Typical Belgian performance - flatter to deceive.
KDB and Lukaku were poor. Eden was frustrated. But on the plus side.....Conte ![]() Gets a nosebleed after first goal goes in! Was really good to see to see how his team is set up, can't wait to see how he gets our lot to be so disciplined at the back........... |

Will be interesting to see if we end up signing any of these Italian players too. |

Any thoughts on Nainggolan's performance? He's looking a certain signing.

They seem to lose all abilities to play football when they put on the national shirt. . |

Looks like October 22nd will be the date the children will chucking their toys around.
West Ham not a bad start for us. Tough game but not as bad as could have been |

Was looking through the latest retained/released lists on the PL site and noticed Mo Salah is still listed amongst our players. I thought Roma took up an option to sign him permanently last season?

From what I remember he joined in August last year on a loan (for 5m fee) and they then had a option on buying him anytime during the season
So those reports were wrong, and he's still ours then? If so, I wouldn't mind seeing him given another chance. Never really got much of a look-in under JM, but he's done well since then. |
