Why on earth would we want to keep Moses ? He's not good enough to get a game at Liverpool or West Ham, both teams we always should aspire to be above so it's a bit brainless and lacking in ambition wanting to keep him.

Great win for our local neighbours Fulham with Kalas playing in defence.
Rafa off to a bad start. I'm sure no one is upset about that

Sunderland have paid £8m for Djilobodji - that's over £5m profit!

I wonder if we managed to get a buy-back clause in the deal ?

I'm nervous about making jokes though. Our last game of the season is against Sunderland. What's the bet that Papy nods in an equaliser in the last minute that costs us the title or a European place ?

Ah well, at least we still have Michael Hector. Who needs Koulibaby when we've got him waiting in the wings?

That's a good deal, and better than the £4 million we got for Demba Ba. He had played very well until he who shall not be named arrived. He'd scored some very good, crucial goals, worked hard and would have been a very good, strong back up striker, especially when Costa was injured. But we sold him on the cheap, and he was sold onto China for £12 million. Good luck to him with his leg injury, and hope he plays again.
![]() Demba Ba was ok, but not the quality a top European side would look at even as a back-up. |

You would probably fetch £12m in China if your performances for the Dog and Duck have been impressive.

Demba Ba will always be an absolute legend at Chelsea. Scoring that goal at Anfield will surely live long in all our memories, even for those who were totally gutted
![]() Hope he plays again in the PL where he will get a rousing reception at all grounds bar one. |

what quality have other sides in the prem got as a back up to their main striker?
![]() ps..Anyway, we're ok now, I was talking about when Demba Ba and then Remy were our options. |

Well, Man Utd have got Martial, Rooney or Rashford who they could use as a back-up front man to Ibrahimovic. Man City have Bony (who has been disappointing) and they've recently signed Nolito. Arsenal have Welbeck and Walcott (at a push) but they're not very well equipped I must admit. But I did say top clubs in Europe, so Arsenal don't come into it.

Looks like Kenedy or Remy wont be around much this season. Both of them (as well as Miazga) not part of our last pre-season game.

It's the cull after tomorrow isn't it. Be interesting to see who gets shipped out on loan.

Looking like he has started to make a list and these 3 was at them bottom. Thought Kenedy might have scraped though |

Chelsea v Werder Bremen
Starting line up includes Ivanovic and Oscar. My worry is that if they play OK, they'll stay, play in the PL and the side will be that much more predictable and that much weaker.
PL teams and managers know those players, they know their weaknesses, they know their predictable moves, especially Ivanovic, and will ruthlessly exploit them. Pre season against continental sides is NOT the PL, and I would still go with dropping / selling those two. Also very concerned about Cahill and Terry together. For the PL, there's not nearly enough pace there, and I would play Terry with a new fast, strong CB in the absence of Zouma. When / if Terry starts to fade, Cahill with that other CB. NOT Terry with Cahill; a recipe for disaster. |

Without Zouma, Rahman and now possibly Kenedy (who filled in a few times) we really are down to the bare bones. We needed a CB and LB before, but it's now become a matter of urgency ! |
