Interesting... Haven't seen much of him, but doesn't look like a natural one to me!
To be honest I still not sure what he looks like.

For me that's part of the problem with him, He is a very good footballer and seems like a sensible and intelligent player (give me a team of those anytime) but I just not sure where he fits in. But that is what a manager should do, He should mold a talented footballer into what he needs and what he thinks will get the best out of the player

Certainly looks to have the build and elegance and even composure to be someone who could run a midfield, but as with others, does the sort of languid and elegant style make him seem a better player than he actually may be...

That's part of it, I think. But you also see it a lot with young players who are bigger and stronger than their peers at junior/intermediate level. They found it easy and it's often a swift and cruel awakening when they are suddenly up against seasoned pros.
Some step up and make it, some don't. But Mourinho and now Conte both rate him highly, so he must have something.

Is Remy crocked again?
Remy is on the verge of going to Palace on loan, with an option to buy him.

I reckon a season in the Championship would do him good. First team football week in week out. Build up his fitness and maybe find his position.
I worry that he lacks a bit of pace to make an impact.
Time will tell.

If Conte is going to be using his as a striker unless we bring in two strikers (assuming Remy goes) then I would keep him. Conte can then work with him and since we will seem to use two strikers at times he should get some game time.

A great quote from Victor Moses, and it sums up the changes that Antonio Conte has brought to the club:

“We’ve got a great manager who gives the lads a chance to express themselves and I’m so pleased to be playing this season.”

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/foo...-Antonio-Conte

I think that all genuine Chelsea fans will agree that giving players a genuine chance is the way forward. Hopefully history such as selling Juan Mata, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku are firmly in the past and never to be repeated.

Come on the Chels'!

Yes, I'm glad to see the back of Mourinho as well. I hated winning the Premiership title three times, and all those other pesky trophies.

Well us Chelsea fans celebrated winning trophies RB but of course I wouldn't expect those of other clubs to be happy and thats why they continue to talk about Jose and try and find fault. You know what Jose's history is like with Liverpool so I guess it's to be expected in a way.

Isn't it about time the troll took his little digs at Mourinho over to the United thread now? His dross would fit in there amongst a lot of the rubbish in that thread (usually posted by a certain FM in particular).

Real Chelsea fans would be glad that mourhino was sacked as opposed to getting the club relegated, and real Chelsea fans would get behind a very good ex player who is the current manager. If there are supposed fans of the club who put mourhino above the club, then you'd be better off posting on the Man Utd thread where your hero is now manager. Trolling mourhino?! Lol.

Anyone on this or any other thread should be comfortable posting whatever reasonable views they want.

Thankfully the club is now heading in a healthy direction. I for one am fully behind the new manager.

Come on the Chels'!

I'm not happy. A few days left in this transfer window and we have five defenders to cover four positions at tha back. One of those is Ola Aina, a youngster with very little experience at the top level.
We simply shouldn't be in this position, for the second summer in succession we'll be scratching around just to find "bodies" to fill the gaps. I know we didn't have European football to offer, but I can't believe that would have made signing for Chelsea so toxic.
Yes, we've got Batshuayi and Kante, two excellent signings. But that doesn't excuse our shortcomings in other areas. Arsenal signing Mustafi makes it even worse, he wouldn't have been my first choice by a long way and he's probably overpriced at £35m. But he sure as hell would have been a useful addition for us right now.

Of course, that all may suddenly change. Maybe there's a couple of big deals going on behind the scenes. In which case I'll come back and eat a large slice of humble pie.

Yes, the lack of defenders is a real concern. You only to look at the midweek cup line-up, we were only in a position to rest JT from the starting line-up. The others all had to play. As you said before, we'll probably end up having to play Mikel at CB again at some stage.

Even if we've had problems signing new defenders, it just doesn't excuse why we've let the likes of Rahman and Ake leave on loan before sorting things out.

Yes, even selling Djilobodji Is looking a bit foolhardy at the moment, and I'd never have thought I'd be saying that !

Heh, that sums it up. I think Miazga hasn't been loaned out yet, maybe we'll end up keeping him as a back-up if we don't bring anyone in over the next few days?

Unfortunately it looks like we have to put up with it till he becomes bored so all we can do is ignore his posts and don't respond.

I thought Ake would of been very useful for the squad. Surprised he was loaned out so quickly.

Mario Pasalic going to Milan on loan. What do you guys think of him? Sounds like he's had a few loan moves from Chelsea and some injury problems.

A good prospect, but he plays in a position where there is already a lot of competition for places..even back-up places. Seen him a couple of times, better going forward than in defensive midfield. But from what we've seen recently, he might turn out to be a better prospect than RLC.
