Cheers. A few Milan fans seem annoyed that we've brought someone in on loan rather than using one of our own youngsters. Interesting to see how he does under Montella.

Your line-up looks very lightweight in midfield to me. If Bristol Rovers could cause us problems, I'm sure Burnley will be able to do the same.
I think there's a case for playing Moses in place of Willian and Fabregas in place of Oscar. Otherwise I wouldn't argue with Conte's selection. Batshuayi will probably come on at some stage.

Willian Hazard moses

What team would you choose against oppositin we should be expected to beat?

............courtois

fantastic break from hazard and WHAT a goal!

chelsea are playing a strange game, not pressing Burnley at all on the ball, getting 11 men behind it and letting them come on.

But then breaking in numbers - as for the hazard goal.

edit

chelsea are all over Burnley - had the ball saved on the line, and keeper makes good stops from Cahill!

Kante is a fantastic player, he beats everyone over 5 yards, gets to the ball before anyone, and then finds a team mate.

it was by far our best half of the season. could have been 5 nil

lets get batshuayi on and fabregas after 60 minutes to get a few more.

Hazard is unplayable at the moment, and matic looks a lot better than last season with kante next to him.

We just need a WC centre back and this is a good side again.

heaton having a worldy in the Burnley goal, chelsea need another to avoid any last minute nerves though

WHAT a goal by moses!

Fantastic work from Bayshuayi having been fouled in the middle, feeds Pedro on the right. Pedro, having done nothing since coming on, puts in a fantastic cross and moses is running on the end of it.

Clinical.

edit

another fantastic break and another world class save from the Burnley keeper. He prevented it being 6 nil.

Great play from chelsea all round, and getting better and better.

3 wins out of three, 9 points and on top of the league.

A bit sloppy in front of goal otherwise an excellent performance.

Michael Hector's current loan is going well. He's made 2 appearances and been sent off twice.

Kante is looking like a great fit for us.

protecting the back 4, helping matic out and allowing him to go forward, and good distribution too!

He's been a fantastic signing for us.
I wonder if Cesc will depart before the window closes ?

why on earth would he depart?

yes oscar is starting in his position at the moment, but as we all know oscar is quite inconsistent - we need two fantastic players in each position.

Oscar and cesc can share it. Im fed up of fantastic players being allowed to leave.

KDB, Schurrle, Mata, Cech, Salah can we just stop and keep what we have?

Yes, Kante is looking like the second coming of Makelele. The ground he covers and his anticipation and ability to break up attacks is outstanding.
Great all round performance, the best we've seen since the first half of 2014/5. But we mustn't get carried away, on paper the first four games of the season were always going to be a chance to put points on the board. After that it starts to get more difficult.
I'm certainly more optimistic today, players some people had written-off appear to be getting back to form and actually enjoying playing again.
I hope Fabregas stays, Oscar was great yesterday but we all know that he's not of a model of consistency and Fabregas gives us something different. With Kante and Matic providing the solidity and strength in midfield, it gives us a lot more options for that third midfield place.
We still need additions at the back though !

its nice to win and get 9/9 points when we were not playing anywhere near our best - a huge change from last season.

Conte needs to sign a WC defender.

Im also very impressed with Batshuayi, looks really lively when he comes on. Id rather have him and £75million in the bank than Lukaku on the bench.

Hazard is such a wonderful player, if pogba is worth 89m i hate to think what he would go for if he left the bridge!

Because he might not want to "share".

Every one of those players wanted to leave and it was 100% right at the time to let them leave.

While we do need two top class players in each position, the 2nd player needs a certain mentality if you look at Cesc's history he is not one of those players.

I don't expect him to leave during this window but if he is still in the same position come the next window he might be looking to move (more so as he won't be cup tied for Europe)

good to hear john terry knocked back big sam to retrun to england and the captaincy.

I see the Jose & Liverpool trolls now have their own thread which is great as they don't bother Chelsea supporters now.

One of them is now claiming how great Conte is yet was dead against him being appointed in the first place. You couldn't make it up.

Why was he offered the captaincy as well?

Apparently Conte has told Fabregas that he is free to leave. Seems strange to allow the announcement go public unless it's to invite offers ?
So I guess that's it, if it's true (and most papers are carrying the story) there's no way back after announcing he's surplus to requirements.

newspapers often print lies, i will believe it when i see it.

getting rid of cesc would be a terrible backward step - just like getting rid of other fantastic players the previous manager msitekenly did.

you dont ask a former england captain back into the squad to bail them out, and not make him captain!

Hart is not playing for his club, and rooney is a square peg in a round hole. Are you suggesting sam would make someone like harry kane captain?

laughable.

Cesc is not the type of player to be happy on the bench. As we have seen with him he needs to be "happy" to play his game.

It's only worth keeping Cesc Fabregas if we are getting Cesc Fabregas, If we are getting a Cesc-Lite its not worth keeping him.

If he wants to stay and is happy with the role then OK but if that is not the case it is better Conte is honest with him.

I'm not sure it would be terrible. But it does seem stupid to leave it so late in the transfer window to decide Fabregas doesn't fit into his plans. It would explain why we have been linked with James Rodriguez.. I thought that rumour was false.
But I can't see us getting these deals done in the few days left, so we'll just be left with an unhappy player for at least half the season.

But that's if it's true, as you say.
