Amat should be off by now, has he gone anywhere near Costa without committing a foul ?

Amazing, £billions from the media, £billions spent on players, and we still have ref's and officials who shouldn't be officiating a pub game.

You make decisions where you allow the ref to make a decision you put yourself in a place where the decision will not go your way and that's what we have done. You take the choice of the refs hands.

We made the mistakes (and very silly ones) so have to accept the outcome of those bad choices.

Its not that simple with the swansea goal

Cahill, standing in the edge of the penalty area facing his goal, about to pass back gets clattered from behind, the attackers gets no piece of the ball and cahill goes down.

Instead of giving the foul, the ref allows the attacker to carry on and put it in the goal. Absolutely awful officiating, costing chelsea the 3 points today. Its a joke.

Poor result. Should have made subs sooner, too.

Luiz certain to come in on Friday.

It could be argued that he should have ruled out Costa's equaliser, as his foot was high.

I'd agree that the ref had a poor game in general, mind.

To a certain extent, yes. But you still don't expect some of the bizarre decisions we see so often. It was great for Sky today, they love something to talk about. A bit of knockabout fun is great for neutrals and the media.
It's football Jim, but not as we know it.

That was just bonkers. Awful refereeing but we have only ourselves to blame. Their equaliser was just ridiculous. What on earth were we doing leaving virtually no one at the back. We defied like that Friday then Liverpool will run riot.
Moses made a top contribution at the end. He's just not good enough.
Two dropped points but it could of been worse.

It's only bad officiating because he called for the ball thus giving him the chance to be fouled. Players are going to take chances like that. The Swansea player gives away a foul and what happens? Nothing, he don't give away a foul and he scores.

We allowed a outside force to make a decision that had a say in the outcome.

The ref had two options make a right one or wrong one, it's a two horse race a 50/50 decision.

Blaming ref's is shifting blame.

We made two very silly mistakes and it cost us

The thing that cost us 3 points was us not taking our chances.

Saying the ref did is nothing more then tabloid mentality

Absolutely. Not clinical enough at the moment. Game should of been done by half time.
That wasn't the refs fault.

Im sorry, but that is one of the most ridiculous statements ive heard on this forum.

referees do not make 50:50 decisions, they do not toss a coin, 50% correct, 50% incorrect!

they are actually looking at the incident, as are the linesmen, as is the 4th official. They use what they see to actively change the odds on getting a decision correct. Do you understand?

The ref was looking at the incident, as was the lino, and they made the wrong decision. A decision that cost chelsea the win and the 3 points.

A decision yesterday for arsenal, an incredibly wrong decision the ref was looking at, gifted arsenal 3 points.

Thanks to two wrong decisions arsenal are 5 points closer to chelsea than they should have been. Its a joke. What will happen to the refs? Nothing whatsoever.

We been seeing bizarre decisions for years.

You don't give the ref a decision to make.

We played well enough to ensure that if the ref wanted to send a Chelsea player off for farting to ensure we got 3 points yet failed to do so

Yes, Conte was very slow with the subs again. It was the same against West Ham and Watford but we got away with it in those games. It was 14 minutes after Swansea took the lead that he brought the first sub on, and bringing on Batshuayi in the 88th minute was far too late in the day to be worthwhile.

I'd like to see him being more pro-active with subs. Was he always the same when managing Juve / Italy?

Yep it's all refs fault.

They are "bottling" it or maybe there is someother reason.

Sack them all

Never mind we made mistakes that you would not see on a Sunday league pub pitch it's all the refs fault

Niall Quinn saying it was a great game, just what the Premiership is all about. That sums up the game in this country for me. It was fun and you can see why our version of the game is popular with viewers around the world. But it also shows why we are never likely to win anything, the game is about control not pleasing the viewers.

You will always give the referee decisions to make, it's unavoidable. Sometimes you can have sympathy for the ref when he gets it wrong. But with the Cahill incident, there was nothing to distract the officials. Two players, nobody obstructing their vision. Cahill maybe delayed a fraction of a second too long, but he was clearly kicked. Should have been straightforward in my opinion.
That's without going into the opening of the game, where Swansea appeared to be under instructions to kick anything that moved. I've rarely seen so many late tackles in such a short time without the referee taking action. Actually, all things considered, I think Costa showed admirable restraint for most of the game.

We should have won that, had plenty of chances to be well clear even before the penalty and the non goal. Unlucky IMO, but these games happen in seasons. Good to see Costa back in form and scoring though.

Its clear to everyone that the ref got that Cahill foul wrong, should never have been a goal. Nevermind, on to the next one.
