Conceding the goals again last night was worrying. Some players seem to want far too much time on the ball, and no doubt opposition teams are targeting that aspect of the play as a weakness to be exploited. Cahill was guilty again, messing around with the ball, when he should be distributing it quickly and accurately.
Luiz gave the ball away for the second goal, but I thought his overall play especially his long range passing was very good. Some people have been talking about training and players looking good in training. The first thing Conte should be doing is getting the squad to pass very quickly and accurately especially from the back, and put an end to the stupid dwelling on the ball. |

Rlc has no place at Chelsea.
Get rid of him. |

I don't blame Conte for not loaning out RLC so far.
He is a very good player and more importantly is intelligent and has a great attitude and it was worth keeping him training with the first team and see what he has to offer but I think we have learnt he needs a loan deal. But it needs to be at the right club and under the right manager, Hopefully this falls into Joe Edwards new role as he will know RLC very well and have an idea what type of manager/club would suit him. |

Get rid of him. Do you often get accused of changing you mind quickly? |

A few days ago he was on the bench of according to you this amazing squad we have, Now he is to be chucked out of Chelsea.
Do you often get accused of changing you mind quickly? I was not suggesting ALL players were "amazing". Try not to twist things to suit your agenda. |

I was just pointing out that our squad, without hazard and costa, (as someone had suggested) would not be a very average mid table team.
I was not suggesting ALL players were "amazing". Try not to twist things to suit your agenda. Just said you pointed how strong our squad is and next minute you want one of them out of it. To chuck RLC out of Chelsea at this point of his career moreso for someone who has been moaning about losing players like Kevin De Bruyne is laughable at best, It not showing any degree of consistency in your thinking |

I did not indicate that that every single one was an "amazing" player. One or two will not make the 1st team. Everything seems so black and white to you, so super quick to jump all over people without actually understanding points. KDB was so far ahead of RLC, and RLC has had much more of a chance. We can all agree that KDB had something, and jose mismanaged it and we lost a fantastic player. Same as Jose did with Salah and Schurrle. Because i dont think RLC has what it takes, doesnt mean that i'm lacking consistency. Would you like me to explain it again if you do not understand? I dont mind. |

I dont mind. If you had watched RLC over the years he had been at Chelsea then you would have seen he has something just like KDB and has showed the right attitude (unlike KDB). It was nothing to do with mismanagement as has been explained many many times times now. A player who was not good enough at the time wanted to play or go. RLC has shown many times he has the ability (I question how many times you have watched him play). We lost a ok player who could have been amazing but as you have said you don't spend money on potential (you have said how much you hate that word) so the logical next step is you don't refuse money for potential |

We still should've put a buyback clause for KDB, especially as we put one for players like Thorgan.
Anyway, RLC looks out of it at the moment because he's not playing his position. Conte wants him to play just off the striker (more like a second striker than an AM) and that's an unusual position so he's still adjusting and I thought he had a few bright moments in the first half but he fell apart after the break. Chalobah has certainly benefitted from all his loan moves. He's got over 1000 minutes of senior football and that makes the transition easier (I think we should be playing him more). Would be interesting to see if any clubs would take RLC on loan playing in the position that Conte wants. I imagine a few in the Championship would want him in his usual midfield role. |

Chalobah loan spells have been very hit and miss, Watford prob being the most successful one and while at Napoli he might not have played an awful lot of football, Going to another county would have really have been a helpful experience (I think any English based loan player if we going to send them on loan for more then one season should at least spend at least one in another country)

We should put buy back clauses for all players under a certain age, Even if we buy them back for x amount so we can sell them again for a much bigger amount, Its just basic common sense when it comes to a business. Not putting in buy back clauses (or even getting a percentage of future sales) annoys me more then actually letting these players leave,
More often then not there is not much we can do about it but we can control (to some extent) what we put in the contract. Its basic common sense I'll be honest, i've kind of lost faith in the way the club is conducting business and some of the policies regarding transfers and the loan system. I think some fresher faces on that board wouldn't be a bad idea |

Exactly. Considering our clubs seems obsessed with buying players for little and selling them on for profit I'm surprised they are not taking advantage and maximising with % of future sells like you said.

I think some fresher faces on that board wouldn't be a bad idea We need quite a few changes in the business side of the club. I think Joe Edward's new role is a good idea and if we handle it in the right way could be a massive help to us long term. There was talk of us bringing someone to work alongside Conte as a connection between him and the board but sadly that seems to have just been talk. Same as Guss taking a role at the club. We spend millions and million on bringing in talent but when it comes to inside the club we seem to want to do it on the cheap, To get where we should be the whole package needs to be in operation. |

Fabregas starts in place of Oscar.
Ivanovic and Cahill are both playing, of course, so I'm expecting an awful 90 minutes. |

Very surprised Ivanovic is back in. That defence looks awful.
Hope I'm wrong. |

Don't worry - we'll improve when we make some subs after 83 minutes.

On one hand, Conte knew we needed a new defence but the board failed to deliver. On the other, we're being tactically outclassed by a manager who hasn't used tactics in 10 years.

I foolishly hoped we might somehow get back into the top 4 before the season kicked off, but from what i've seen so far i'm now expecting another mid-table finish. Aside from the usual culprits, Hazard has been dire. Yet another game that he's just a passenger in. Someone called Fabregas a luxury player, but I'd say that description is more fitting of Hazard right now. |

Grim viewing, the defence is just shocking. Really surprising to see Conte get it wrong, coming from Italy, you'd think he would atleast sort out the defence.

We need at least 3 goals and our manager has brought on a LB for our most creative midfielder. I know Fab has been terrible, but I'm getting Rafa-vibes right now......
