As I suspected last week, Michy Batshuayi does not make the starting 11.

Today's team is...

Courtois, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Moses, Fabregas, Matic, Alonso; Willian, Hazard, Pedro

Subs are Begovic, Ivanovic, Aina, Zouma, Loftus-Cheek, Chalobah, Batshuayi

Yeah you were right. Feel sorry for him now tbh. If I were manager I would just play him regardless and really see what he's made of. Then again if I were manager Chelsea probably wouldn't be on a 11 match winning streak

Pretty comfortable win in the end. Surprised he went with that team but you can't argue with the result.

Yeah surprised as everyone else to not see Bats given a chance. Might mean hes likely to head out on loan in January rather than stick around if the manager isnt fancying him.

Still need some sort of back up for Costa. One injury and suddenly we lack a striker.

But still, good result today, even if Bournemouth had more of the ball and we played a counter attacking game, which probably actually suits us.

Yes, I was really surprised when I saw Batshuayi wasn't starting. But Conte sees him every day in training and obviously isn't yet convinced he's ready.
I think the problem is that Diego works so hard for us up front, along with Pedro or Willian. Hazard is give more licence to roam and do his own thing, but he's beginning to press from the front as well. Batshuayi needs to add that to his game to suit our system.
From what I saw (only the highlights) our front three looked terrific yesterday. Interchanging, running at players, they looked a real handful. We missed Costa of course, but Conte's plan appreared to work a dream ?

Conte has already said he won't be sending him out on loan in January even if he asks so at least it seems the intention is to improve him at the club. We'll see how he does in the FA Cup

Not the best half.

Not the best start to the second half.

Didn't play great but always seemed to have another gear.
Glad we got that 4th though

I kind of enjoyed that game. Just wish if we were to concede, it would be from good goals by the opposition not some of the shambolic defending we saw there. Nevertheless, loads of positives. Fabregas now on 100 assists in the league, Costa keeps battling on despite not having that good a game. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks with the window open.

I actually thought we were doing ok. They're a good side, Dembele and Wanyama have been very strong in midfield. One lapse of concentration and we're a goal down.
I'd bring on Willian for Pedro. Pedro hasn't been playing well and he's picked up a yellow card.

Agreed, it's been very even between both teams, and a level scoreline at half-time would have been an accurate reflection of play. A goal down now, and we'll see how we respond.

Oh well, we weren't at our best tonight and the winning streak comes to an end. Spurs are a very good team though.

Liverpool and Arsenal must be kicking themselves that they blew their opportunities to take maximum advantage.

Oh well, can't complain. They were the better team on the night.
Pretty even first half, but their second goal (against the run of play at the time) really knocked the stuffing out of us. Still, Spurs look an impressive outfit. Best team we've played this season in my opinion, strong in every department.

That's the bonus from this week, Liverpool and Arsenal dropping points in games they should win.

No complaints. The better team won.

Yes, we're actually in a better position in terms of our lead than if we'd drawn with Spurs and Liverpool had beaten Sunderland.
