Only saw the highlights. Good away win but it looked like we should have won by a much bigger margin but didn't due to a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping. Thankfully Matic's goal was enough. Nice to see us keeping another clean sheet. And with Schalke slipping up too it leaves us well placed at the top of the group.
Yes, we played really well in the first half, but just didn't convert our chances. Schurrle missed an absolute gift. I've rarely see so many one-on-one's with the keeper missed, but he (the keeper) did have a great game.
I wish Jose could could persuade Hazard to take a leaf out of Schurrle's book and try for goal a bit more often (not hoofing it over the bar in the same way of course ) As good as Costa is, we are beginning to rely on him too much.

A repeat of last season would be nice.

Would have preffered Willian to Schurrle, otherwise no surprises. But that probably means Schurrle will go on to have a brilliant game.

Why was that not a sending off?

On a yellow, and a clear foul on schurrle by chambers.

Awful ref'ing.

Yep, easily a second bookable offence.

It should have been a straight red for bringing down Hazard anyway. Quite a physical battle battle going on in midfield, which suits us more than Arsenal in my opinion. Ozil has been useless, hope they leave him on for a bit longer.

Cahill was lucky to avoid a red too.

Good result, and a good performance, they never really threatened us. Costa/Fabregas/Hazard all looking extremely impressive. Oscar also looked lively and worked extremely hard, good to see.

Overall a great day, only downside being Courtois Injury, i hope he is ok, we all know how nasty head injuries can be. Luckily if he is out for a few weeks we have Cech as a fantastic back up, a great situation to be in!

Yes, our best game of the season for me. Hazard, Oscar and Ivanovic were outstanding in my opinion, but the whole team played well. Sublime pass by Fabregas, and a great first touch followed by a clever finish by Costa. Great stuff.
A real "Mourinho game", 2-0 and in control throughout.

Somebody on the neutrals thread posted that it was "like watching an autopsy".
I don't think it was meant as a compliment, but I like it. Clinically and efficiently dissecting the opposition without fuss, bring out the next victim please.

Wenger blaming the financial resources of Chelsea, conveniently forgetting he spent £42 mill on Ozil not to mention Sanchez and whoever else.

I am so pleased I am not a Arsenal fan as they puzzle me.

Was slightly worried today as the record has to go sooner or later much like Jose's home record had to go BUT watching their performance today I really have to question if it does.

You look at their midfield and you cannot help but think they should have given us some problems but when it comes to crossing the white line it just doesn't happen. Are the problems the players? The manager? They would frustrate me. We will hear the same old stuff about them needing a leader and a holding midfielder but even without them they should present more of a problem. Not heard Wenger's comments but guessing he been chatting about money again but when your wage bill is higher then Chelsea's and you spend 41m on a midfielder you surrender the right to do that.

Any problems we had in the match had nothing to do with Arsenal and was more of our own doing. They was nothing to do with who we was playing.

Oscar impressed me today and Costa did what he will do all season just put the ball in the back of the net.

We still not there yet as if we was it we could have had a score not far off last season's game.

He should get even better when he shrugs off the hamstring injury.
Loved the big grin when he missed the sitter, even if it was offside.

That was a fantastic moment.

Our second goal just gets better every time you see it.

How arsenal can justify not signing cesc is beyond me. Arsene, thank you for the gift.
