It sounds as if Costa will be starting today, despite his hamstring and picking up a virus that required him being barred from the training ground. The guy appears to be indestructible, just imagine what he'll be like when he's fully fit !
We just need to stick to our own game and game plan and not get sucked into Sky's rubbish about it being a entertainment show and the media's obsession with the a previous game (I have even read somewhere it being described as "famous").
Utd are dangerous and more dangerous then anyone we have played so far. Utd are more then capable of going on a run (I only see us and City being the others able to do so) I am not saying that it be a title run but still a run.
This is just another game and we cannot turn into something bigger then it is. The "famous" game was the correct way to go at the time and showed intelligence and logic and we need to play in a intelligent and logical way again depending on the way the game is going if that is a defensive tactic then so be it if it is attack then so be it. The optimal result is 3 points but saying that one point is quite acceptable and is not a cause for concern or disappointment
Yes, I agree. It's the media's job to build up the game, but we've got to keep focused. Fortunately, we have a manager who has always stressed that. At the end of the season, three points from this game will be the same as three points from any other, even if they are one of our main rivals. It's been the silly points we've dropped against so-called weaker teams that has cost us in the recent past.
United are dangerous going foward, and have the world class players to hurt us. I don't care if it turns out to be the most boring game ever seen as long as we come away with something.
United are at their weakest defensively, there will never be a better opportunity to attack them than this afternoon, as they will no doubt strengthen in January and summer.
It's a real test for our title hopes, we should be able to beat them.

It's going to be a Very interesting game!”
And going forward they are very very strong. They have a manager who (like Jose) can teach players how to play defensively and turn a decent defence into a top class one by working with them on the training field.
This will click into play at any given time and today is just as likely as any other game. Just attacking them is something Liverpool would do and won't do us any good going forward long term

Yes, me too. Drogba would be ok for the last 20 minutes, but he's not going to last a full 90 in a game like this. Would love to be proved wrong though.
Good to watch, but I can't say I'm happy with the way we're playing. Far too open, losing our shape, they are causing us no end of problems. Fellaini has done a good job on Fabregas and Mata is finding a lot of space. Best performance I've seen from United for a long time.
Having said that, they were lucky to get away with that double bout of WWE in our box.
I'm gutted because we did everything right in the 2nd half, then just threw it away. It could be argued that they were the best team in the first half, but we were coasting it after Drogba's goal.
Actually we gave away a lot of silly fouls, and deserved most of those yellow cards. We need to cut that out, and save professional fouls for when it's really necessary.
