Disappointing to lose a goal so late, but overall it wasnt a bad performance and a draw seems a fair result. Going to Old Trafford is never easy so any point is a point gained in my opinion. Dunno if Ivans sending off caused the goal or not but nevermind.

Agree with Gary Nev. we seem to lack the killer instinct at times.
Overall a fair result but we should of played it out.

With Costa playing, we would have won. I'm gutted .
With Rooney and Falcao playing we would have won. I'm gutted.

Check out which team had the most attempts at goal.

Game went as expected. Utd showed for the first time in ages some Utd grit and we showed we can win 8/10 games without Costa.

Disappointing result. Unfortunately Mourinho didn't learn from the Man City game, and made a negative change in bringing Mikel on when we were playing well and looking like we could score a second. And the less said about the ref's performance the better.

Oh well, at least City lost yesterday so we've still extended our lead over them. On to the next game.

It was a very good performance from Chelsea, but think that Mourhino should have gone for the second goal more at around the 70 minute mark. Shurrle for Oscar say. That's twice now that Chelsea have conceded late in Manchester.

Also, will someone tell Andre Schurrle that his name should be spelt with only one r!

The ref seems very card happy towards Chelsea players
Couldn't agree with you more, just got home and I'm not happy with the decisions.

Well done today. Considering you were playing against 12 men today you did well to come away with a point. With Newcastle winning and Chelsea getting a point at old Trafford this house is fairly happy this weekend. 😊

I agree. Ivan's first yellow was a joke!

The second was debatable as well. Looking at it again Ivanovic just appears to stumble and catch his heel. It certainly didn't look intentional. A free kick without doubt, but a yellow card was very harsh despite what Souness was saying afterwards.
Still, we should have defended the free kick that followed better than we did. Zouma showed his inexperience leaving Van Persie free.

If it was for dissent, as appeared to be the case, he can have no complaints.

The second one was never a booking, though.

Its just frustration.

So many yellow cards for us too, even though it was united who were playing the physical game. Dowd is definitely not strong enough to give a penalty at Old Trafford like that.

We should have taken all three points, with costa we would have.

Onwards and upwards.

If Costa plays, Drogba isn't there to score the goal.

A draw was a fair result, although I wouldn't expect you to see that. Assuming that you even watched the game, of course.

Of course i watched the chelsea game. How could i comment on it without watching it?

As i say, its frustrating.

Drogba did ok, but he is no Costa.

United were surprising, i didnt expect them to play their best game of the season, but they were definitely up for it.

It's rumoured that Oriel Romeu is looking for a permanent deal in Germany. Should he be brought back and Mikel sold on? Mikel is still a good, solid player, but he limits the team imo, and the routine of bringing him on late in games to just 'sit' in front of the back 4 is getting a bit repetitive and negative. Romeu has more variety to his game, and is a better passer. Plus, as mentioned already, especially when the opposition defence is weak, even if Chelsea are playing away at Old Trafford, go for the second, third, fourth goal.. It's what Man Utd would have done at the Bridge, when Chelsea were in a bad patch.

I think we are looking for better than romeu, if he doesnt want to come back.

we need another Matic - he had a great game yesterday.

Also Cortois had his best game in a chelsea shirt yesterday, a real positive.

I haven't followed what Romeu (or any of our loanees) have been doing this season - has he been playing regularly? I don't think he'll ever make the grade here so a sale would probably be best for all concerned.

Mikel just needs to be sold already. I'm sure he's a nice bloke but he just doesn't cut it. I'd sooner we played Ake over him.

I agree. I think Ake is a terrific prospect, and will turn out to be better than Mikel or Romeu.
Obi Mikel will do a job when you want to shut up shop, he's proved that numerous times. But the only times I've really been impressed with his general play has been when he plays for Nigeria. It might be in his own interests to move on before it's too late, but he doesn't seem to be the ambitious sort ?

Huge congratulations to

Eden Hazard
Tibo Courtois
Diego Costa

for being nominated for the Ballon D'Or.

And our Manager is also on the Shortlist - congratulations one and all!!!

Interestingly, Suarez has been left off the shortlist.

I only hope he does so whilst at chelsea.

Quite possibly, if he can improve his finishing. Needs to be scoring chances like that one at Old Trafford the other day.

Be interesting to see what sort of team we'll put out tonight at Shrewsbury. Will Drogba start again? It won't be Solanke as he played for the U21 side last night.
