Yes, a good game in my opinion. The first half hour was pretty even, then we took control.
Hazard was again magnificent, looked dangerous every time he touched the ball. Costa took his goal well and was continually pressing, really making his presence felt. I was also impressed with the defensive work from Hazard and Willian, but I'm afraid that put Fabregas to shame. Sorry to bang on about it, but he was poor again today. I focussed on him in the second half and he contributed next to nothing.
But there were a lot of good performances all round. Matic goes from strength to strength, he must be one of the best players in Europe in that position. The back four looked solid, and Courtois was faultless, he couldn't have done anything about that deflection.
Looking good.

Always hate playing at Anfield - but we controlled majority of the game.

Matic is turning into my favourite player - bargain of century - £7m was it? Cesc is on a poor run of form at the moment though.

International break now - thank goodness Costa is staying home.

Very impressed with Costa's temperament. He's yet to lose his cool under lots of provocation and he just keeps scoring. I thought on reputation he'd be a walking red card, but it hasn't happened.
His attempted overhead kick showed what he was all about, defender pulling him back so hard he ripped his shirt (definite penalty for us not mentioned by anyone?), but he still made good contact, got up and chased back. He chases down all opposition back passes to the goalie and is just very hard working. Exactly what we needed.

Rumoured that Real want him! (http://metro.co.uk/2014/11/08/real-m...azard-4939960/) I doubt he'd want to leave Chelsea, but if he did, Chelsea would want a minimum of £100 million, and I'd say more around the £125 million mark + as potentially a Ballon d'Or winner. Maybe £150 million. He's got great great temperament as well as great skill and is a team player.

Even if a club does get that sort of money for a player, who do you replace him with?! if he's essentially the best.

Keep hold, he's the future at Chelsea along with other key players.

Didn't see the match live yesterday so had to catch up with the MOTD highlights in the evening. Very happy with our win, it's always sweet to beat Liverpool. City dropping more points was a bonus too.

Thought we played well, good result in the end. Costa is such a good signing its unreal! Probably our best signing in years. Isnt even fully fit and still banging them in and he really does bully defenders he bossed their defence like Drogba used to do.

Matic originally cost £1.5 million! Then used as a makeweight in the Luiz deal that valued him at £4/5 million max! valuing Luiz then at around £26 million

Now Matic worth £30 million +? and Luiz sold for £40 - £50 million (ad ons?)

Chelse with Matic effectively paid Benfica £20 million to take him on loan for a couple of years where he was player of the year! That's generosity for ye'!

Yes, he has a great attitude, never gives up. I've been very impressed with other aspects of his game as well, he's more than just a big powerhouse up front, he shows some lovely touches with his link-up play. Along with Matic, they have have transformed the spine of the team.

after 11 games we are just 1 point behind arsenal and Liverpool

obviously, that's their combined points total.
