Looked a horrible ankle injury, the Derby pitch causing it. Let's hope he can get back asap.
With the Stoke game being on Monday, hopefully they will sit him for a week and be fine

Derby pull a goal back.
Ivanovic fails to clear the ball twice in the same passage of play, puts us under pressure for 20 minutes!

Poor

A professional and clinical display by Chelsea against a good Derby side. Again, very impressed by Remy when he came on, and his pace is a real danger. Mourhino needs to utilise the squad this season, and if he can, knowing when and where to rotate, then Chelsea should win at least 2 trophies.

Mikel had a solid game, and Drogba was very good again before his injury.

It's the squad that wins trophies, and let's face it, Chelsea didn't miss some world class players tonight in: Courtois, Cahill, Oscar, Willian, Costa etc, and that's the way it should be.

Didn't see it all, we've been watching The Missing and it was the last episode.
From what I dis see, it was another very solid performance. I quite like Matic and Mikel together, Mikel's lack of pace becomes less obvious and Matic can be a bit more adventurous. Schurrle didn't impress me in the first half, but I see he got his name on the score sheet.

Schurrle is quite an enigma. He is very forward thinking and will absolutely run at players.

However his decision making is terrible. In the first half he shot when he could have laid it across the box for a tap in for a team mate, and in the second half he did the opposite (probably after a word from a player or manager).

Once he can get the decisions right, he will be a fantastic player. Definitely one to keep hold of.

Matic impressed again last night. Early on he got his foot trodden on deliberately by a derby player, i assume to put him out of or off of his game.

After a bit of treatment Matic came back on the field. 15 minutes later the player who fouled him found himself writing on the ground, after a foul by matic where he trod on his opponents foot during a tackle, in a mirror image.

He left matic alone for the rest of the game.

What, with Sturridge probably back, just the draw we didnt need. Dissapointed in Bournemouth being top of the championshp, they didnt turn up till they were 3-0 down. Surprised bookies make LP shorter odds than the Spurs.

I dont blame them at all. The Championship is a very very tough league to win and has to be 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th priorty at this stage. They allready will be playing alot of games and even 2 more games (and maybe a third more even if was a final) would have been as welcome as Rafa back at the bridge.

It could be the difference between them finishing 1st and 3rd and not going up. The League cup is very nice but its just not important enough

I watched it up until Liverpool scored their second goal, then I thought there was probably going to be no way back for Bournemouth as they were struggling to get any decent possession so switched off. To be fair to them I think they did really want to win the game and Howe certainly picked a strong side, they just were unfortunate to meet a team that had a point to prove after recent results. If Wilson had scored that early chance though, it might well have been a different game.

Chelsea have got 2 tough games coming up, Stoke away then West Ham at home. They have to get maximum points now, as the Manchester teams are winning matches while not playing well. Chelsea have been great this season, but at times have dropped points when taking their foot off the gas. It happened against Man City away when they should have got 3 points, and again against Man Utd away where they backed off near the end again and sacrificed 2 points. That could cost them later on in the season.

Having said all that, Chelsea overall have been great, and have had a much tougher fixture list than the other contenders. They've already played both Manchester teams away, Liverpool and Everton away, as well as Tottenham and Arsenal at home. It's best to keep winning though and pile the pressure on their rivals. Especially over the holiday period, Chelsea have got to be up for the fight, and battle for those points. It's a crucial part of any season.

It be far from a easy game, This will be a massive game for them, I have no doubts they wont finish top 4 so for this season not to be a massive fail they will need to win something, The League Cup is the obvious one to go for.

Yep, its massive for them and especially Brendan who has a blank CV when it comes to trophies.
For us it's the least important competition but you still want to win it.

They haven't beaten anyone that they wouldn't have expected to, with or without Aguero. They're currently on a pretty decent run of fixtures.
