Ridiculous yellow for Ramires.

Villa are dreadful - we really need to kill this one off.

Need to step it up in the second half. Nice link-up play for the goal though. Courtois looks a bit shakey so far.

Not the best of performances but we extend our lead at the top to 7 points.

Have to settle for city dropping two points not three, but still a great weekend.

Now let's go back to that Ramires 'yellow' and ask questions about this ridiculous ref!

A poor display overall from Chelsea against a weak Villa side, but they got the 3 points and that's what winning titles is about.

The main reason imo for the poor performance was Drogba, who had a stinker. Age, lack of match fitness? Not clear, and he's had some good games this season. There was no fight, no real desire and the play often broke down when he was involved. It only takes one misfiring player to affect the whole team.

From the start I couldn't understand why Remy and Zouma had been dropped. Both players have been playing very well, and Mourhino got away with a few bad decisions today.

A win is a win though. Cuadrado looked good and Willian had a very good game. Ivanovic made the difference yet again. What a player! Blue blood.

Effectively 8 points clear now (with goal dif') but still a long way to go.

Good set of results for us so far this weekend, if West Ham can get something from their game with United it will be almost perfect.
Looking at the upcoming fixtures, I'm beginning to feel confident...which is unusual for me. Can't take anything for granted though, as Man City found out against Hull. Never easy against sides fighting fot PL survival and probably 8 or 9 teams are still in that mix. We will need to scrap for points, but we've become a lot better at doing that with Mourinho.

Good result today. Has been a dodgy ground for Jose.

Let's face it, the season is going very well, and the future's looking pretty good as well. Some very promising players coming through. E.g. Bamford and Atsu. Imo, Bamford at least will be in the first team squad next year and looks ready for the PL.

Wednesday 11th February, 7.45 p.m.

A very good analysis of the match on the BBC website: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/31124629

Chelsea should win but have not been playing that well recently. Need to get back to good, attacking form. The PL is there for the taking.

Hopefully Remy will start. I'm still not convinced by Cahill's form, and even Courtois is looking shaky. What's going on there?!

Come on the Chels'!

Cech

Ivanovic Terry Zouma Azpi'

Matic Ramires

Willian Cuadrado Hazard

Remy

I like it. Brave and forward thinking. Mourhino is not afraid to drop players if he needs to. Imo a comfortable win.

We are playing well, but no end product.

Everton are playing for the draw, Barry should have been off.

Was looking like being a very frustrating evening, but what a relief to finally make the breakthrough with Willian's goal. The more I see of Zouma the more I'm impressed with him, and Cech justified his selection too with some important saves.
