So, Cahill it is. Tip Top called that one right.
Not so sure it's a good idea myself, but I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong. It does mean we are starting without Oscar, and I was expecting a big game from him.

Zouma in DM. Glad to see Jose trusts him so much.

It will be more like a back three with the fullbacks pushing on

Yep, Zouma hardly going forward at all. After the last match I'd say it's for the best.

Poor half, but good time to get a goal.

Spurs should be down to 10 after dier, on a yellow, kicks Costa.

Ref bottles it, but I guess they "even themselves out " don't they!

It's not really working, but we've nicked a goal. It will be interesting to see what Jose does as the 2nd half progresses.
Fabregas seems to have hardly touched the ball, I forgot he was playing.

Cesc to Costa to goal

We need more of that

Dier just knees azpi in the back of the head, leaving him covered in blood

No card, nothing!

Edit, deliberate elbow into costas face. If this was the other way around, it would be headline news tomorrow....

Mr Blue! Some credit please! Play Zouma, play Ramires, play a centre back in place of Matic, ... WE DIT IT! WE DID IT! WE DID IT!

Now for that treble..

Much better in the 2nd half. I don't know what Jose said at half time but Zouma looked a lot more comfortable and Fabregas came into the game more. Not a great game to watch for neutrals but the tactics paid off. We always looked more likely to add a third than Spurs did to cut the deficit. Sometimes you have to just dig-in, roll up your sleeves and get a result, and that's what we did today.

I gave you credit and said you called it right. What do you want, blood ?

But you're right, I was worried in the first half but Zouma appeared to grow into the role as the game went on. I wouldn't want to see us forced to do it too often though.

Oh what a great day. Not a great performance going forward but defensively we were spot on and when we got our chances to score, we took them.

Terry was brilliant, as was all of the other defensive players, they put that 5-3 defeat behind them and played brilliantly.

I don't understand why Sky thought Zouma was poor, he had a good game from what i seen.

Costa was a constant threat and it was only a matter of time before he got in on goal.

Great win, another trophy, Jose wins with another tactical masterclass.

Bit of silver-wear in the cabinet already ... lovely

JT was outstanding today, Costa continued to do his thang ( gotta love him ) and Jose consolidated his position as best manager in the world

... and City dropping three points was the cherry on the cake

Very happy Blue here tonight

There are some lovely pictures floating around from the victory yesterday.

Loved Jose's celebration at the end; you could tell how much this meant to him. Our players gave everything, especially Azpi.

Hopefully we can add more trophies at the end of the season!

I am still yet to see any sky replays, or tabloid press articles on the Elbow that a spurs player through into Costa's face yesterday.

If this was the other way around, we would have negative headlines like "costa ruins cup victory" etc and redknapp jumping on the bandwagon to ban costa for 3 games.

When this happens, its hard not to conclude that there isnt a media bias against chelsea.

Does it really matter? We won!! That's more than enough satisfaction for me.

Anyway, I came across this today: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/f...-10079455.html

I just love Diego.

Well done Chelsea. I really enjoyed watching that!.......on TV!

I’ve never been inside Wembley Stadium and I was under the (mistaken!) impression that the roof could be completely closed, given the cost of the whole thing and the complexity of the ‘arch’ etc. The heavy rain came as a surprise.

This is an extract from the ‘Wembley Stadium guide’;.....”.it has a sliding roof that sits 52 metres above the pitch. Even though the roof does not completely close, it does cover every seat in the stadium, which makes Wembley the largest fully covered ( ) stadium in the world.”

However, there seemed to be a lot of very wet supporters yesterday despite the proud boast that the roof covers every seat in the stadium!

Were any of you guys actually there yesterday?..

.....if you were then I reckon you’d be entitled to a partial refund under the ‘trade descriptions’ act!

P.S. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mauricio Pochettino comes down with pneumonia to compound his misery.

The stadium is not great, and the roof is absolutely useless.

It's too much over the pitch so that most games are in shade, and not covered enough to prevent all the weather getting in.

A much better stadium, at 10% of the price is the millennium stadium.

We should have copied it!

The roof can be closed but was glad it was open. Closed roof is a real atmosphere killer.

Did get slightly wet but who gives a F***? We was there to cheer on Chelsea to another cup.

Wanna talk about rain? Seem to remember a game at Wembley when Utd smashed us now that was rain
