Dodgy pen for them, no pen for the tread on Ivan, and a string of wonder saves from their keeper.

Let's keep it in perspective

On paper, not a great result, but there were a lot of good signs in the second half, and if the team can keep playing like that, the PL will be won.

I think Zouma will still have a part to play, and Matic didn't have a great game today. Cahill was again beaten for pace a few times in dangerous positions.

More chanc

More chances created today and that has been a problem recently. Nice, quick passing and movement in and around the penalty box, and we need more of that in the coming weeks.

Pity, it has to go down as 2 points lost. We improved in the second half, let down by the final ball or poor finishing..again. But some of our defending was nothing short of shocking, I was holding my breath every time Southampton crossed the half way line..that's not the Chelsea I know and love.

The game today showed the main problem we have right now is the lack of goals from midfield. We rely on Costa too much right now, other players need to chip in and contribute with goals.. poor finishing all round.

Main culprits - Fabregas, Oscar, Willian, although you'd have to say Hazard needs to improve that part of his game if he wants to be world class. If those 3 got us 10+ goals every season we would be laughing and cruising the league, instead Man City are still in it.

We got more points this weekend then our rivals, we carry on like that and we win the title.

Southampton are no mugs and would say they are probably the best side I seen come to the Bridge this season.

Still confident at the end of the season we will be lifting the title

I thought things improved when Ramieres came on. Poor first half but much improved second. Not ideal result but it's a point nearer.
Got to say that so far am not impressed with that new bloke. He looks like another SWP, very clumsy and not sure what to do....

Better display in the second half but still a long way from our best. Hazard was easily our best player today. He's constantly having to carry all our attacks single-handedly. Not to mention he dropped deep a couple of times to collect the ball because Cahill doesn't know how to play out from the back. Frustrating as hell. It doesn't help that Oscar has been massively out of form lately, I don't really know what to make of him any more. He doesn't even press as well as he used to, not to mention Jose never plays him in any tough away games.

Selling schurle for the new guy was a terrible move.

It's going to prove a huge mistake

Too early to say, he's not had that many minutes on the pitch yet. He looked ok against Everton, lovely first touch and definitely not lacking in skill. Must be a question mark about his ability to adapt to the PL though, only time will tell.
It worries me that he's 26 and we basically bought him on the evidence of one good season at Fiorentina, he hadn't done a lot before that.

He needs to start a few games in-a-row. Salah never impressed but was hardly give a fair shot - we don't want the same to happen with Cuadardo.

Along with a manager who's as stale as a month old loaf of bread.
Admit it, his job would now be hanging by a thread if this Premiership wasn't so piss poor.

All right, I'll take the bait. Who would you get to replace Mourinho ? If the rest of the Premiership is "piss poor" that presumably discounts anyone in our top league. We've tried quite a few of the other contenders, and apart from Ancelloti none of them came even close to Mourinho.

So what you are saying is, if we were not achieving our minimum targets, the managers job may be under threat?

Please point out to me a club in the PL where this statement would not apply?

We are hopefully about to win a league and cup double, without even tapping half the potential of this young side. Every other team in the PL would swap, and no doubt swap their manager for ours too!

LVG may get the boot, pelegrini is about to, wenger has been clinging on to his 4th place trophy for 10 years!

Lets just be happy for what we have, the grass certainly is not greener!

Incredible isnt it. We drew with one of the best teams in europe

We drew with one of the best teams in the PL, who worked hard, attacked us and

1) they got a dodgy penalty
2) the ref missed a pen for us on ivan
3) their keeper made a world class double save

we improved our points difference over our nearest rivals, its hardly the end of the world is it.
