Some good players coming through:

http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest...ea-there0.html

My picks for next year are Bamford and Traore

Salah? It's nice he's doing well in Italy, and we should get a decent fee for him. I watch the games closely and do not think he's suited to the PL. Serie A is a much slower league and less physical. The Bundesliga is quicker but still not as physical. Because players do well in those leagues doesn't mean they'll do well in the PL imo.

It's been said that Mourhino will also have £75 million to strengthen. The club is making a healthy profit at the moment, so that should work with FFP. Another world class striker plus a world class CB should do the trick.

Signed: The Bring Back Mata Campaign
(Update. We're aiming for 10,000 signatures, and we've got 7 so far. It's early days!)

We are hopefully about to win a league and cup double, without even tapping half the potential of this young side. Every other team in the PL would swap, and no doubt swap their manager for ours too!

LVG may get the boot, pelegrini is about to, wenger has been clinging on to his 4th place trophy for 10 years!

Lets just be happy for what we have, the grass certainly is not greener!”

Of course things could be worse. We will win the title which is always great!
I am just frustrated we continue with players who do not contribute anywhere near enough. We had it for years with Kalau and Maluda and now with the names I don't need to mention. We have been very lucky the other top teams have been poor, otherwise these players would have cost us the title.
At least more of you are now admitting certain players are not doing enough.

There will always be players who are not quite good enough in the view of some fans. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich..their fans will always think that they can and should improve on a few of their players. The fans are probably right, the perfect team has never been built, and probably never will be.
With players, managers take a gamble, they have to. Sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesn't. Unless they make a massive blunder, like signing Torres, it doesn't usually affect the club too badly. Take Costa, that was a gamble. Fingers crossed it looks like he was an inspired signing, but it could easily have gone the other way.

Of course there are players who are not doing enough (for me Hazzard should be stepping up more) but things have got better.

The board have made so many bad choices over the years from wrong managers and wrong players am not having a go at Roman but many of the decision's have been bad ones.

Yes the other top teams have been poor this year but that's been the case for at least 3 seasons now and we have been no where near them and yet this one we are in front of them. As poor as they have been we have been that much worse and this season we that little bit better then them.

Have we got "the team" yet, No of course not but places on that team are slowly being filled. We have filled some this season and I would expect some more places to be filled next season (and so on), As long as have players of such a standard in the unfilled places that we can maintain a title challenge things are going in the right direction.

Even the players who are not good enough for us would walk into all the top teams at the moment. In fact most of the bench would prob walk into most teams as well.

Players can always improve and from our first team the scope for improvement for many of those players is scary.

The second a player cannot improve (apart from those at the tail end of their careers) then that's the time to get rid of him.

I think you're being a bit harsh on Eden. He's having a very good season so far; all our attacks constantly go through him (he was instrumental in our goal yesterday - that's not to say Costa and Ivan didn't play their part either). He can definitely improve his shooting, but what more do you expect from Eden? It doesn't help that Azpi offers no support in attack (although that's not his fault considering he's right-footed and playing out of position). Hazard is literally carrying the attacking burden of two players (Oscar and Willian). If anyone should step up, it's them - not Eden.

Eden is having a fantastic season I agree but he is such a amazing player that fantastic is just ok for everyone else.

Yes the other players need to step up but they should but they are just great or very good players and can only get to a certain level.

Hazzard on the other hand well I not sure there is a limit how good he could be.

He is so good that no matter where ever he is playing or who ever he is playing with that when is on the pitch "it" happens.

He is going to be the first truly "world class" player that we have had at Chelsea.

Him signing a new 5 1/2 year deal was fantastic news this year!

That was massive.

It was vital we get him under long term contact ASAP.

A crucial run in that can make or break the season. The team needs to attack. There has been too much very good pressing high up with few clear chances created. That needs to change.

Come on the Chels'!

I see the Under 18's follow the lead of their senior counterparts by putting Spurs in their place. 3 nil up and Spurs still found a way to lose.

We dont want to go back to players that cant even get a game for that United team, the chelsea team has moved on.

If anything, we are desperate for pace - this is why we sold schurrle and got the new guy.

I wish the media links with us and Gareth Bale were true though.

We could also do with a suarez type player.

Its all about preparing them for the future.

We gave them hope after the first leg.

Then snatched it away in the second leg.

Its something they have to get use to if they want to make Spur's first team

Unless Real knocked off more the 50% of what they bought him for then buying him would be a massive step backwards for us. Spending that sort of money is not justifiable nowadays.

I agree, the fee would be prohibitive. Rarely do huge fees work out, the £30m for costa/ cesc seems to be the sweet spot.

60 million on di maria
37 on mata
42 on Ozil

All huge money down the drain.

I don't mind spending the big money if it's needed.

I think all those 3 amounts and buys was justifiable.

De Maria is a fantastic player and just the type of player Utd needed.

Mata also was a good buy for them at the time.

Ozil again same as Del Maria (maybe not in the same class as him) but just as important to them in terms of message it sends out etc.

They needed to spend and sign a certain type of player.

We have done in the past but not to the same extent nowadays.

Talking of big money signings, I think taking a chance on Pogba might be worth the risk. Still only 22 (a few days ago) he does appear to be a really special talent. I know you can't rely too much on YouTube videos, but some of the things he can do with a ball are incredible.
It's mouth watering to think of a player like that playing alongside Matic in midfield. Unlikely though, I think his mind his set on a move to Real Madrid.

Is Pogba worth 70 million though?

Probably not, we haven't got another David Luiz to sell for £50m.
Pogba is one of the few players around who it might be worth shelling out that knd of money for though..in my opinion.
The_don1

Not at that price.

We just cannot justify that sort of spending on one player.

Nowadays we should really not be looking at spending any more then 40m at the very most on just one player.

What a goal from hazard! We need more finishing like that from him

Edit
