Zak has been ok through a truly awful storyline, Lisa has become such a nag I wished they had jailed her as well.

Lisa is driving me nuts!

Can't believe the OTT way she's behaving. You'd think she'd get a grip and realise that no matter what happens, no matter how long Belle goes away for, SHE'S ALIVE. She will see her again. There's a man in that village who would gladly swap places with her.

So no OP, I can't agree re Lisa. Zak yes, but I always like Zak.

It's reached levels of such complete crapiness i almost feel sorry for the people who've been there a longtime and are seeing the show collapsing around their ears.
Do the right thing you people at the top and before it's too late.

Heheh, I just said elsewhere that even I wouldn't have a leg to stand on tomorrow when you start in on ED.

The whole lot of the disgusting, horrid Dingles have been a nightmare throughout this stupid storyline. The only decent scene there was was when Belle confessed to Zak, the rest have been trash just like that awful family.

Zak's been okay, but Lisa's been a shrieking, nagging old trollop. If Is see one more close up of her Halloween cake face I'll put my foot through my tv.

Lisa was a good character, the rape s/l was superb. BUT the last couple of years she has been turned into a snidey, loud obnoxious fishwife, no sympathy for poor Zac and his breakdown, bullying Sean to keep him away from Belle and the harrying and nagging to try and stop Belle from confessing is beyond belief. Awful character.

Lisa's attitude to Dom during this whole storyline has been disgusting.

Her demanding he stay away from court, as if he had no right whatsoever to be there was beyond belief. It was only his daughter that died, no big deal!

Exactly. I was an accident, fine, we get that but a young girl is dead for crying out loud and the way Lisa is treating her grieving father is just horrible.

I liked tonight's episode. The drama of Belle in Court mixed with the light relief of the opening of the salon made it a great ep for me, Emmerdale doing what is does best.

I am finding Emmerdale quite painful I must admit. I'm almost having to force myself to watch each episode. It's sccary how quickly it has gone downhill after having been excellent for the couple of years until October 13 - Maurel aside.

I agree with this - I personally didn't enjoy the court scenes, but the balance of drama and light relief was perfect.

The drama storylines just need to be a lot stronger, because they aren't carrying the episodes at the moment. That's my only real criticism of the show right now.

Lisa has been an annoying fishwife. I couldn't believe it when she told Dom to stay away !! What a bloody cheek. I wonder how long Belle will get ? six months ?? Just enough time for her to do her exams and come back. Cain is the best one in that family.

At least Zac took his hat off for the court! I hardly recognised him without it. Yeah they are pretty good actors but Lisa does tend to SHOUT her lines all the time. As for piefaced Belle, that's what you get when you have to 'confess' all, stupid bint.

After Dom burst into court at the last minute, demanding to be heard (), and told everyone Belle wasn't a murderer, the Prosecution presumably decided they wouldn't get a conviction for murder, so added a new Manslaughter charge.

Belle in her wisdom decided to plead Not Guilty. Surprise surprise, she was found Guilty of Manslaughter. Cue much shrieking and wailing from t'Dingles. She will be sentenced on Friday.

Ridiculous storyline. The idea that a murder charge would be brought in a case like this is laughable. Topped only by the idea that sentencing would take place within days. Full reports possibly taking months would be ordered.

You're preaching to the converted, grauniad.

If only there were some rule that Defendants are entitled to a Defence barrister who is obliged to a) turn up for the trial and b) actually speak in defence of his client.

I am still continuing to watch Emmerdale..though why? I'm not quite sure.... it could be that I like the characters it's certainly not the S/L which at the moment are diabolical and an insult to both the actors and us the viewers....

I thought it was ok but I hate how the writers use poetic licence when they write these storylines. Why go to the bother of setting up a courtroom scene if you can't be arsed to at least try to replicate a proper courtroom trial? In RL there is no way on earth that either Dom or Lisa would have been allowed to holler out like that.

I think Eden Taylor Draper and Steve Halliwell have been very good during this SL and I feel sorry for Jane Cox. They have really trashed Lisa over the last couple of years

The Salon scenes were good but the David, Priya and Alicia stuff has gone on for far too long.
