I used to like Wallis Day when she played Holly, her apperance fitted the bitchiness of Hollies character well, but now with the new casting it's made Holly a much softer wimpy character, not like the character which Wallis Day portrayed.

Cindy used to be good when she first arrived in Hollyoaks and when she was with Tony, but since becoming more domesticated she's just become more and more annoying, and every time i watch Cindy and Holly onscreen i just don't like it at all.

Anyone else think it's time for them to go? Or do you like them?

I don't mind them, Holly's lying about Dodger is disgusting but many characters who have done horrible things, I agree Wallis Days portrayal of Holly would seem to do this, the new Holly seemed much nicer, I don't think just because a character is unlikeable is justifiable enough to get rid of characters.

Cindy has been absolutely brilliant in the Browning death plot. I want to see more of her as I love her character but I feel sometimes the writers don't know what to do with her, I remember after the Tony wedding when her and Tony split up, there was all this drama then she was absent for weeks & that seems to happen a lot with her.

I agree with the poster above; Cindy was the star of who killed Browning. Maybe they can ship Holly off to school again for a while? I've gone off her with the whole Dodger thing.

I don't agree about Cindy at all. She's one of the best characters on Hollyoaks and most popular and Stephanie Waring is a fantastic actress.

I do agree about Holly. I don't like the way the current actress plays her, its not that she's not a good actress, its that I don't like her choices. I don't want to see her leave but I don't enjoy watching her in her own storylines. She's important for Cindy though, so...

NO! They are way down on the list of who should go. It starts with Grace and goes from there.

No!

They are a link back to HO's former days. She shouldn't go anywhere as they are a part of the shows history.

Cindy has had some great storylines and like Janine from EE keeps reinventing herself to stay relevant. She has so much history with the show it would be a shame to lose her.

Cindy is more HO than Trevor, Grace and all this ganster sh*t will ever be!!

No, they are both brilliant. Cindy is one of the few links left to the original show and anything pre McQueen. The high cast turn over means we've lost so many links to the past that they should hang on to characters for more than 2/3 years before getting rid of them. The bi-polar plot sounds fantastic, i just hope its done well and not like the rushed, issue of the week storylines we've been recieving lately.

As for Holly, i get that this horrible storyline with Dodger hasn't shown her in the best light but shes still a character with huge potential its just a shame shes been used in completely the wrong way. I always feel like we've barely scratched the surface with this character. Ever since she returned (as Wallis) shes not had a single storyline to call her own. Yes she's been involved with Jason's storylines but they've been more about developing Jason as a character in his own right away from the other Roscoes. Shes been on the edges of Cindys storylines and this weird storyline with Dodger she was more just a plot device to garner sympathy from the 'we love Dodger brigade' and to facilitate Jason's downward spiral but the character herself hasn't been developed at all in her own right. Until they stop using her as just a plot device in other peoples storylines or as a filler while we endure months of Sinead-Grace-Sienna centric storylines then the character is never going to rise in popularity. Amanda has really settled into the role now IMO and i absolutely love Jason/Holly as a couple i just think its time Holly took a bit more centre stage in her own storylines rather than being used as a supporting characters for those around her.

Not much to add to this, other than I agree.

I will say two things though:

There are much more deserving candidates on the show who need to be gone long before Cindy (in particular) and Holly do.

For me, new Holly (Amanda) is much more "Holly" than old Holly (Wallis) ever was - by a mile.

No, Cindy and her boobsofwonder should stay (as long as they can get her away from Dirk).
Ha, yes Cindy's boobsofwonder are great, and a relatively new addition to the cast too? I don't remember them being quite like that before anyway. Cindy and Dirk make quite a sweet couple though, and you can understand why they're together, so I'm not to fussed about them being a pair.

I don't like the character of Holly and I don't like the actresses that have played her in her teenage years. Cindy is OK though.

Holly and Jason are such a cringeworthy couple.

No... the show doesn't have many nineties characters left.

I can think of others who need to go before even considering Cindy and Holly. For a start Mercedes and Sinead have well and truly run their course, Mercedes has just been in the same old rut for years.

I liked Wallis' Holly, my only niggle was that she looked more like Cindy's sister than her daughter. I like Amanda's Holly too although the change in personality from confident mouthy no nonsense piece of work to a wimpy naive sap makes no sense. There's no way Wallis' Holly would have put up with Nico pushing her around, let alone sit in the middle of the road sobbing.

I cheered when Nico gave Holly a slap.
