For England it's more in hope than expectation, but I think they're capable of doing it

Hm...still potential for 3 of them.

I'm a bit late to this, but here's my last 8 anyway.

Chile vs Colombia
France vs Germany
Mexico vs Costa Rica
Argentina vs USA

I think the final will be Argentina losing to either Chile or Colombia.

Would have been worth a multiple accumulator bet when you predicted this on 11 June. Even three right would have won decent money.

I guess a fair bit but some are predictable..if they happen of course.

Wonder what the odds on Costa Rica or Greece getting through were!

To me it's looking like:

Last 16:

Brazil v Chile
Colombia v Uruguay
France v Nigeria
Germany v Algeria
Netherlands v Mexico
Costa Rica v Greece
Argentina v Switzerland
Belgium v USA

Last 8:

Chile v Colombia
France v Germany
Mexico v Greece
Argentina v Belgium

Last 4:

Chile v Germany
Mexico v Belgium

Final:

Germany v Belgium

It all looks fairly even to me except Germany and France look a class above the rest. I'll be having money on Mexico, Belgium or the USA to reach the final and the South American quarter (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay) could go any way, that looks really tight.

I know this WC has been unpredictable but there is no way Belgium is getting to final let alone a all European final. Also while I really would love to see Brazil go out ASAP I think they are just getting into gear and really can't see them being beaten by Chile.

Who will knock Belgium out?

I can't see them getting past Argentina who will hopefully have got into gear by then.

You were the only one to get three out of four right.
It's no surprise that nobody got them all right as nobody would have expected Costa Rica to reach the last eight.

I got them all right, this was my second attempt though, posted before all of the first round matches had been played.
