The sound quality in the opening ceremony was dreadful but the amount of adverts during sport on ITV pisses me off, the BBC coverage is always so much better.

That was the only benefit of ITV football coverage - the knowledge that there was a chance that Roy would just flip and kill everyone live on air.

Apparently the sound for the opening ceremony was crap on RTE too so it looks like it was a bigger issue than just being ITV's fault. Is anyone really disappointed that J-Lo and Pitbull were inaudible though? I've been told that their song is terrible but I've managed to avoid.

ITV pick up the same feed as the rest of the world does that is provided by Brazilian Television Company so I'm lead to believe.
