The press drum it up because it is the second biggest sporting event on the planet

That they make a bit extra on the side by selling wall charts and World Cup supplements in their Sunday papers is a bonus for them.

Is this the first time you've lived through a World Cup or something?

Isn't the world cup THE biggest sporting event in the world. Even bigger than Olympics?

Just heard a news report, and i'm pissed off

Protestors - and police using tear gas, now being demonised by the media

People are starving and living on the streets. Children are being abused, and they are pissed because their government has the money to host a football competition, and now they are being seen as the 'bad guys'

Give me a break. See this report from Mark Williams Thomas, about the reality of what is happening over there

Edit: now i'm waiting for the ITV coverage, and people like Adrian Chiles to pitch up about the 'horrible' protestors. It's not like they are mindless hooligans that are just doing it for the hell of it

Well if your going to get fed up pretty quickly with the World Cup, I suggest you don't watch it.

That is all.
