He's talked about there being thirteen this year, presumably that's twelve+Christmas.
But do you know what? After watching 24:LAD, I reckon twelve is a nice, even sounding number & I'd be fine with just a 12 week run with no Christmas special. Hell I'd be even more fine with 10, hour long episodes & to hell with the Xmas special in that scenario as well.
And yes, I understand the argument 'but the 2013 series was only 8 episodes long, & that had filler', but remember that all of series seven was actually filmed together as one & all they did was split the T.V run in two separate halves, so all that ended up happening was that the weaker episodes (that every series has had since 05) stood out like a sore thumb. Series 6 had the same problem. Actually any series from 2005 onward probably would've have the same issue if the broadcast (not the production) runs had been split in two.
