World Cup Food / Snacks / Drinks
World cup kicks off in less than an hour wonder what people are doing on the food and drink front this year. I had an Epic plan to have a theme for each night try a few local dishes etc.
However I feel like I have let the side down already and just gone with a stable of Cider, Nacho's and dips for this evening. I guess breaking into the event in a classic way is not so bad but I need to spice it up little for tomorrow and I am looking for ideas. So if you have any ideas for evening meals, late night snacks for the later games let me know. |

I was thinking about a couple of bottles of Corona and chicken wings for tonight.
It might be a month of snacking instead of having a main meal. |

I already had some beer and in this heat, fancied something a bit lighter, so I got some Pimms and lemonade too
![]() That food from each country idea sounds interesting. Maybe throw a bbq with beers from the respective countries, tonight for example, you could have Brahma. Decent Brazilion beer, similar to corona and a Croatian beer, that I can't name because I don't know any Croatian beers

So you could get parma ham or speck as an alternative. |

Considering your fantastic food photos on the food and drink thread you're going to struggle on just snacks!

I have some Innis & Gunn oak aged beer for the first game. Just the one 660 ml bottle. Got some Rich Tea biscuits in too, might have some of them.

First half snack time. The nacho's took a hammering but mainly during the open 2 hours rather than the game. The cider is going down well but I am starting to feel tried. I will have to go for a half time cup of tea and ham roll !!!

can't wait. I'm having corned beef sarnies when Argentina play.
I have yet to decide what to go for food wise. I will have to nip out between the 5pm and 8pm matches to obtain a feed for the evening. Likely to go with the Cider still as I have a about 8 bottle left. |

Last night I made a chocolate and orange swirl cake. Absolutely delicious and a great accompaniment to half a dozen bottles of beer. Two eggs, 145 ml ofwater, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and the contents of Betty Crocker cake mix. 30 mins in the oven and bingo. Even Geraldine said she liked it. Thanks for listening guys.
