Hi,

I have a Humax 1000s and a pc running windows 7. I want to be able to stream films from my PC to the Humax. My PC is connected to my router which is connected to a TPLink home plug, My Humax is also connected to a home plug. i can ping my humax box from my pc but i cannot see my pc from my humax box. when i select available servers from the menu all i can see is my router. I have turned off windows firewall but this hasn't helped. Has anyone had the same problem with a humax 1000s?

All help welcome.

You need to do two things before you can stream files from your PC to a HDR1000s.

1 Run DLNA server software on your PC

2 Add the folders containing the content you want to view as shared folders to the DLNA server.

After that the content must be compatible with HDR1000S, this may depend on the ability of the DLNA server software to transcode the content as it is streamed.

Been having issues streaming to my !000s using a Vista PC. It works fine on a Win8 laptop so I'll just keep using my WDTV Live until I upgrade my PC.

The other thread is in the Freesat+ forum here

Thanks Graham, I installed Serviio DLNA software and added content to the folders. it now works a treat, thanks again for your help.
