Anyone like this or think its inferior compared to the hot milk version? I decided to buy the Cadburys Hot Water stuff for a change and actually really like it, its different to a hot milky mug but almost as good.

Whatcha think?

Does it have milk powder in the mix?

I am not sure I don't think so.

We buy the ASDA smart price stuff, it's about 1/3 to 1/4 of the price of the name-brand hot chocolate. It tastes fine, I like adding a little milk to mine anyway.

Yes it does have milk powder in it.

Aldi do one which is much nicer than the Cabury's drink.

I don't mind it tbh - I'd drink it.
There again, I eat weetabix & porridge made with water.

The Galaxy hot chocolate drink that's made with hot water is quite nice.

I've had it with hot water but for a proper hot chocolate it has to be made with milk

It all depends doesn't it.

Cadbury's do a range of hot chocolates (e.g Highlights). These tend to have powdered milk in the mix, which is hydrated when you add hot water.

Regular original Cadbury hot chocolate like this:

wouldn't taste very nice made with just water imo.

To make the perfect hot chocolate

1. add hot chocolate powder to a mug

2. put in some milk (about the same amount of milk you would use to make a cup of tea or coffee....uunless you like them very milky)

3. stir the milk and powder well to make a smooth paste

4. pour on hot water slowly while stirring the whole time

5. stir one more time and enjoy. to get an even more delightful experience you need chocolate flakes, marshmallows and whipped cream

this seems to work very well with the ones where you are meant to just add water, but it can work with the milk ones too.
