Possible !!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

I got into the Audio Plays by Big Finish not too long ago, especially the Eight Doctor adventures. The problem is there's so many, and they get pretty expensive past the Zagreus arc.

But I still want a complete series for him, so I'm trying to skip as much as I can, while still keeping a mostly complete narrative. I plan to skip the first 4 series of EDA, and move right onto "Dark Eyes", since it seems like its starting with a bit of a fresh slate.

The tricky part is that I obviously couldn't stop at "Zagreus" since it leads into a pretty significant direction, so I moved past the first 50. Right now, I've got all of the Divergent Universe entries, but I skipped most of the ones after that, and cut straight to "Absolution" and "The Girl who Never Was".

My question is, is there anything significant that happens in-between "The Next Life" and those two episodes? I'm trying to avoid spoilers as much as I can, and picked those two based on the fact that they feature the departure of his companions.

So, do they work on their own, or are they tied into a bigger plot?

Try to not spoil anything if you can.
I've only listened up to "The Creed of the Kromon".

Hi, I have listened to ~ 80 big audio adventures.

Apart from Dark Eyes 1&2 I'm not sure there are many series of stories you have to listen to all the way through. In fact rather like the TARDIS I have jumped around fairly randomly from story and Doctor to Doctor and have only very rarely realised that a story I was listening to was related to another one and I was listening in the wrong order.

There is a cool blog I use to see which stories to skip and which are the best.

In terms of 8 I gather Zagreus is the worst episodes ever and I have never even attempted to listen to it. The whole divergent universe was a bit of a mis-step apparently
