Someone saying that Jackson has never been found guilty of any wrongdoing is not the same as condoning his behaviour. What you're claiming is just hearsay anyway.

not it isnt hearsay... it is a well documented fact that jackson had sleepovers with unrelated children... is that acceptable behaviour or not? yes or no. THAT is the point dearmrman is making.

Jackson wasn't convicted of anything. That's the point I'm making. It's a totally different situation from Garry Glitter.

everyone knows that, but its not the point ! im not arguing that, dearmrman who bought this up isnt arguing that, his point and the one you apologists are ignoring is whether its acceptable or not for a middle aged man to have sleepovers with unrelated kids... he did that, that isnt in doubt, is that acceptable or not? yes or no!

No it isn't hearsay it is documented as is all the literature/photo books of nude children, that he had lying around his house, to say you are not condoning his behaviour you are making a good argument for him. His actions are not acceptable and in that regard no one should make any excuses or try to defend the man.

As for the topic, if people want to listen to Gary Glitter/Lost Prophets/MJ and so on's music then I see nothing wrong with that, after all it is only music and is in no way saying you approve of the artists actions.

Obviously, like most people, I find MJs actions hugely questionable, and he clearly made some very bad choices.... but that doesn't stop me from being a huge fan of his music. The fact he had multiple court cases of which he was found not guilty is enough for me.

So are you saying OJ Simpson was guilty as well? Despite being cleared in a court of law.

Yes but generally you would need some proof of it and there is none.

He was not convicted of anything. Whatever you think you've seen or heard, there has been absolutely zero proven against him.

What from mj's own mouth on a famous interview he did a few years ago, when he admitted sleeping with children...but if you think it is okay for a grown man to sleep with children that are unrelated, then you go ahead and think that, personally to me that is wrong and cannot be justified.

You'll probably and understandably call me a liar now, but Michael Jackson stayed at my friends house for two weeks shortly after the first accusations were made by Jordy Chandler.

My friend was under no illusion and truly felt that, following the time he spent with MJ, that he did sleep with children……but, and here's the BIG trick, that is was done COMPLETELY ASEXUALLY. He simply sleep with kids and nothing more. Like a sleepover.

If was as if MJ still had the mindset of a child….something none of us can truly empathise with, given that he was an AAA-lister from the age of 10 or so until his death. I mean, what was normality to him? Did he ever have a real childhood? When at my friends house, he was told when to go to the toilet. He loved computer games and playing with toys. He did sleep whilst wearing a mask……and….bearing in mind of what he was being accused of, he had the stupidity to have several photographs taken with his arms wrapped around my friend and his brother whilst sitting on a bed. I saw these photos and thought "wow, what a doofus!".

Gary Glitter is a convicted sex-pest. Michael Jackson is not.

It is incredibly unfair to put them both in the same category.

My sister said there are hidden messages in the Gary Glitter songs. Is this true?

They're hardly hidden, to be honest.

of course he is guilty, it was well documented as one of the greatest miscarriages of justice ever. where is he now?oh yes in jail for armed robbery.

im not saying jacko is guilty, i dont know, i wasnt there, but pointing to the american justice system as proof of innocence is barmy. just watch the docs on the subject, the way innocent men have been wrongLy convicted and crims have got off.jackson is the biggest cash cow the states have ever produced, its not beyond the realms of possibility that those who make money out of jacko are protecting their intrests.

I know one thing even if he had the mindset of a child, I wouldn't want my children anywhere near him, I value their safety above anything else, and I just wouldn't want to take that kind of risk.

This highlights my point perfectly.

People like you and I live in the real world. Something we both may sometimes under appreciate. MJ didn't and as such, trying to understand the world he lived in can be perplexing.

Besides, what is illegal about simply sharing a bed with a child? Sure, I wouldn't do it with someone elses child. It just feels wrong. No doubt the absolute majority of people wouldn't do it…..but MJ did. I wouldn't allow my child to have a sleepover with another adult. No doubt the absolute majority of parents wouldn't, either. But Jordy Chandlers parents seemingly did.

Sure, I get that, but putting MJ in the same category as Gary Glitter is unfair.
