Why? Is it a World Cup that represents the world or a good teams for TV cup? How will these teams improve without being involved? How will football grow in these countries if they can't be involved? Lots of these team have a base of solid Premier League players and others in top European leagues. They are getting better and better.
Not so sure an aging Ivory Coast are probably the only hope of getting through.

I feel Bosnia will be too strong for them.

Yes the Cameroonians have looked very hunky in their wet shirts.

Enjoyed this game also
Weather looks evil now, the pitch has drained well, pretty flooded behind the goal

The number of teams was increased to 32 for TV reasons, so yeah, it is the TV cup. Increased team numbers hasn't increased the quality. African teams are not getting better and better, they have got worse, Cameroon especially.

I think this game has been decent. Mexico have looked decent in possession and some nice attacking exchanges. They were better in the first half but they could easily have won this a lot more comfortably if not for the terrible decisions. I hope the group doesn't come down to GD.

Of course they are getting better. You don't think Ivory Coast will be a decent side? They look far more comfortable than they used to for the most part. Cameroon are a poor side though.

Ivory Coast are the only African hope of getting through the groups

Ivory Coast are a good Africa Cup of Nations side at best.

First half was better than the second, but both this and last night's games have been decent.

Nigeria are in with a chance and bot Algeria and Ghana are an outside bet. There's usually a big team that flops and it could be Portugal considering Ronaldo's potential injury so there's a space for Ghana.
