I really need to focus on looking for wrecks
In my experience, I have come across this strange bug where the game never lets me arrive at a wrecked craft.

I haven't had too many issues sticking with the starter ship to be fair though.

I've always been incredibly ruthless when it comes to inventory management games.

Help please. I think I've upgraded my suit once, but does it ever get so I can run?

I made loads of units earlier from Emeril so that might make me stick with it a bit longer.

I just don't care. That's my problem with it. I want to help people with distress signals but I don't think I've got enough fire power, even when I do, I doubt it'll be very exciting. Bleurgh. I will keep going because I've paid for it but I feel I'm going to regret buying it.

Any one else getting regular crashing with the PS4 version? Happened a few times over the weekend and twice last night in the space of about 2 hours.

Makes the game quite exciting though - it feels like a rush to the next save point before it crashes again.

R3 is a toggle, no need to hold it down. You will see a new icon appear in the bottom right corner. It will show you how much running power you have left.

I landed on a planet yesterday where the sentinels were set to attack on sight. Actually proved to be a fun little planet with me having to go on quick runs for resources before dashing back to shelter or my ship. Also got a ton of the sentinel killing milestones on that planet for obvious reasons
This happened to me, they killed me almost instantly so I restarted at my ship. Tried to get to my grave to recover my stuff and they killed me again. Then I realised your initial grave disappears once you die again, arggh!

Thought I'd get away quickly, but didn't have any plutonium in the launcher. Empty inventory due to having been killed, and damaged scanner, so I had to randomly go off looking for plutonium. getting killed another 14 times trying to do so.

It was 60 mins of pure frenetic fun, still loving this game one week one. Just found my first water world, and it's another frenzied high security sentinel zone... makes me wonder, are they protecting something, should I be investigating those planets more..

So far I'm enjoying this way more than I thought I would. Initially I was frustrated with the limited inventory and poor ship controls in space, but as I've continued playing it's really grown on me. It has a very lonely vibe to it which might not appeal to everyone, and it'll probably be appreciated more by the type of people who don't mind farming in MMOs.

One annoying aspect for me is that you can't transfer ship technology to discovered ships, and repairing hyperdrives is a pain. I've let one or two ships go because I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of repairing them.

I found a crashed ship and when I looked at the cockpit display it had the name of what looked like a PSN ID, so I messaged the ID and it turned out he had discovered the system I was in.

This is why it's better IMO to grind for credits and buy a ship from a trader. All the Gek will sell you some nicely tooled-up machines for between 800k (Merchant) to 2M (Captain)

Of all the 18 Billion Billion planets in all the solar systems in all the universe, he crashed into yours.

Only one annoyance so far is fighting the pirate ships, happening quite a lot to me now and it's a pain to have to keep looking into my inventory to restore my shields while getting shot at.

I found a crashed ship but it wasn't much better than mine, so wasn't worth the hassle of fixing it.

But a week on and I'm still enjoying it, I've yet to find a galaxy that someone has discovered already, kinda want to though.

Glad I didn't get this on launch as didn't have enough to in my account.

After reading all the reviews good and bad I think k I will wait until it's dropped down price to at least £25

Made a fair bit of cash buying and selling dynamic resonators. Park yourself in a busy station and identify the pilot that buys dynamic resonators for almost double the regional average. Buy the resonators at normal price from other pilots and then sell them to the one that pays over the odds. Each sale nets around 30,000 units profit. It's much faster than mining.

Which one be long I suspect, might not be as low as that, but can see it being £35 in a sale in a month or so. Compared to the riddiculous £50 that it is now, thats quite a saving.

Who pays £50 for a game?

I've never paid that for a game.

Mine crashed today, can't remember if it was before or after updating... I think after, to be honest.

Was mining a massive gold deposit, made nearly half a million off it. Was nearly all mined when it crashed first time...

Being very much an easy paced freeroamer, I'm surprised I didn't grab this day one. But having read this topic and checked some Youtube walks, particularly Radbrad's very positive, always fun presentations, I think I'll bite. Liking the leisurely, relaxing vibe and the ultimate example of improvised, do it your way gaming also appeals. From the footage I've seen it seems to run well, so yep I'm in.

Popped into my local CEX today, they had a couple of copies of No Mans Sky but what surprised me is the price they're charging, £50. I know it's still a very recent release but it's a pre-owned copy that you can get online brand new for around £45!

CEX always do this with new releases though. Most people trade in against so would still be getting it cheaper than elsewhere.

Personally I'm going to hold off for a month or so. If they drop it down to around £35 I can get it for free as I have that in vouchers.

I bought it on the PSN store, but I bought a £50 top up card for £43 from cdkeys. As I said, always best to look around for deals first.
