Always hungry, running out of things to eat!

Seriously, been spending a ridiculous amount on food every week at the moment.
Mostly fresh, all good food. But i am always hungry !!!

I exercise nearly everyday, so this is probably the cause.

I have protein supplements, some raw plant based protein and some vanilla whey.

I just cannot stop bloody eating. If i dont i am extremely weak, agittated, cant concentrate etc etc.

what do you have as a snack with a good protein content ?

Tuna and rice noodles.

A wrap loaded with meat, low fat cheese and a bit of salad.

Flapjacks with extra protein powder added.

Home made sushi rolls.

Nuts.

Porridge with protein powder.

Shakes made with milk, whey, peanut butter and banana.

Eggs done in many different ways.

I wish I had your problem. I cannot remember the last time I felt hunger. I eat one small meal a day and have to force myself to make that.

Have you tried regular exercise? It certainly makes me hungry. When I went to Spain for two weeks recently I had a break from the gym and my appetite plummeted.

If I feel like eating a lot of food, especially protein, I'd visit a Brazilian barbecue buffet restaurant, where the waiters keep come to your table with huge skewers and slice the meat in front of you.

Yes its certainly exercise, I remember having about 3 days off not long ago and I certainly didn't feel anywhere near as hungry.

I also liked your food suggestions, but do you think there's such a thing as having too much tinned tuna?

Personally I think tuna is a great protein source, one of the best.

My daughter is now like this. Since she's been at uni last September she joined a gym. In the last few weeks, she's been actively trying to lose weight as well as exercise so she's been having 5 small meals during the day.

She's come back as a skint student as she's spent a lot of her money on fresh food and I don't know if I can up with her diet at home - finance wise

She seems to always be hungry and always thinking about food.

From your posts I know you are a fan of protein powders so would you recommend one please?
When I get back to UK the classes there are quite a way from home and after they finish it can take up to an hour to get home so thought I would make the following and take it with me - another question is is it ok to make it maybe 3 hours before I drink it or do they have to be freshly made? (would keep it in a cold bag)

1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 scoop whey protein powder
½ medium banana
1 cup frozen mixed berries
¾ cup milk (skim/ almond/ soy)
3 to 5 ice cubes

Thanks.

Whey protein is that, there isn't actually much difference generally. Some powders you buy may have other things added to them and many are highly laden with sugar and sweeteners. The best and most cost effective whey imo, are the unflavoured whey powders which you can buy in bulk from various sites, such as myprotein or bulkpowders. You're shake should be okay in a coolbag, give it a try, but you're probably aware that it can become very smelly if left too long.

Thanks very much for the reply - will look for an unsweetened one.
Will have a practice run - I am always hungry when we finish and I usually have a banana and apple but wanted a change.
Thanks again.

When my children were going through their teenage growing phases (so needed a lot of calories and protein) I used to give them wholemeal multiseeded bread with butter.
