Is Adrian Chiles the worst football presenter of all time, in my book yes, so boring, jokes that don't work, and silly questions. In the day of the great Brian Moore he knew his football, but sadly Chiles was shoehorned i to this when ITV had no idea what do with him after the disaster that was breakfast TV

The worst thing is how he repeats himself when he's thinking of what to say next

The only thing more boring that listening to Chiles, is listening to people moan about listening to Chiles.

Seriously, it's borderline obsessive now. Is it the new "it" thing to do or something?

He's not a terrible presenter, and Moore was a commentator.

I agree Adrian is a good presenter . I'm sure he doesn't claim to be an expert and all this criticism is completely unwarranted .

It is getting really annoying.

If people don't like him, they could easily just wait 'till kick-off to tune in and save all the whinging.

Which is exactly what I do, I really can't stand the man but luckily I don't have to listen to him during the game.

I wouldn't say he's great from any means, but he's definitely far from the worst presenter I've ever seen. Just about any of the nonentities that hosted Setanta's coverage back when they had the Premier League rights were a lot worse than Chiles.

To be fair, he does help finish Cannavaro's sentences for him when Fabio can't find the right word.

Could be worse, could be Ortis:

I agree. I suspect that his being a fan of one of the top teams makes some people a bit jealous.

Cheers for that.

Chiles is ok but tends to be a bit of a jinx . Nothing goes smoothly when he is on.

He's not that bad. And Brian Moore was not that great. He used to make lots of mistakes while commentating.

He's fine. I don't get the vitriol aimed at any TV football personalities, as formulaic as I find Alan Shearer I don't feel my blood boiling when he describes things I can see in slow motion.

I am not his biggest fan but I agree its getting boring. Also this is chiles 2nd world cup as presenter with only moore doing that for ITV.

He's not very good and can be irritating but he's hardly this bane of humanity that you would think given the criticism. He's not really suited to this kind of presenting job but ITV are paying him a stack so they have to get their use out of him.

Totally agree. I have been a fan of Chiles for a decade and used to watch Business Lunch on BBC2 regularly. He is a top quality host.

Surprised he didn't mention his Croatian mother.
