Well isn't Iain Lee the golden boy. Doing Breakfast at BBC Three Counties.he'll now be double shifting on Fridays. Will he continue with his Saturday show at WM? Of course he will,
It's all getting rather incestuous now on BBC local.-Soon,Lee.Blackburn.Prever and Ross will be doing everything.

I do like Iain Lee. Not surprised that WM are trying to get more of him and considering he stays in Birmingham on Friday nights it makes sense to give him another show if he wants one.

I just don't understand the logic behind Sunny and Shay. Seems like a really random choice. Perhaps somebody a bit more local would be better?

sunny and shay. wtf?

I swear wm is getting less *local* everytime I tune in.

should have got back boyden/mollie .

Kelly's consumer show looks interesting though. wonder will they go all the way and invest in research/case workers like kate walker who would chase the listeners consumer complaints.

shame drive show still remains dull

apart from the sat am shows and football coverage the rest of weekend line up still remains dire

The current editors got a bit of a track record for picking from London. This is a bit out of the blue though

That right is it? A consumer show!

Long overdue if that's the case.

Ain't had one for a few years since Doolan stopped doing them.

Bring back 'Stink' seconded!

Of course not .
WM is midway twixt Liverpool , Manchester and London .
No need for local presenters !
The afternoon programme always used to contain a lot of local content .
No longer I fear .
I hope Danny can carry off a consumer affair programme .
These days I listen to You and Yours on Radio 4 . Excellent .
Rajar figures show another loss of audience . Not surprising considering the present programmes .

I am happy to see that Danny got the 9 - 12 show seems as thought he will be making the show his own but I want to hear Daz Hale as the roving reporter . Sunny and Shay for the afternoon show why not Mollie Green she is local and has a local fan base she is also just one person and the BBC Local radio stations are trying to save money. Great about Iain Lee on a Friday afternoon. It says in the Birmingham Mail they will be on from 1pm - 4pm is this right and what will happen to Caroline Martin?

I'm not sure the 1 - 4 thing is right. Iain has said he'll be on Friday afternoons between 2 - 4 so it makes sense Sunny and Shay will be on the same timeslot Monday - Thursday.

Danny said today his show will be consumer led. I just can't see this new afternoon show working - loads of negative comments on WM's facebook page.

Sounds like the little box of tricks that produces The Voice is knackered as he's currently silent this morning on Hunted!

Edit - Now fixed.

Interesting that they've started deep in Radio Shropshire country this morning.

What does everyone think of Sunny and Shay? I have to say that the best part of the show is when Sunny goes out of the studio. Shay is ok on her own. He seems like a show off to me. I will give out 2 the end of the week but don't think I will be listening after that. Mollie Green should of got the gig.

Wonder if Goldie is up to date with his egg payment with Mollie before he leaves?

I heard Sunny and Shay's first show. They seemed nervous. They're not bad presenters but they're a bit 'unpolished' and they need more structure. I'm sure that'll come with time.

Not sure why they got the job. Many callers have been saying they think Mollie should be on full time and I agree!

I happened to tune in this afternoon, to hear this Sunny and Shay duo.

Quietly inoffensive so far.

They let Sunny out of the studio to roam with a radio mic/back pack close to the Mailbox , which I believe was the Hill Street area as he only went for half an hour!

Hmmmm.

Mollie's just mentioned on air, in reply to a listeners text about Iain Lee's new show yesterday whether she heard comments from him about the dogs home story, that she turned it off, due to being upset about the nature of the comments.

Didn't hear it, so was she justifed?

Handover link this morning might be interesting.

Wasn't that bad. I do feel sorry for Iain he has been talk about meeting Gary Busey for the last few weeks and Gary refused to sign Ian's Buddy Holly story DVD "You know when you've had The Buddy Holly Story DVD in your bag for 3 weeks then Gary Busey refuses to sign it? Yeah, that."

Looks like The Voice on Hunted has 'degenerated' to the previous Voice, courtesy of a Dr Who inspired audio sequence!

(I guess the usual Voice is on holiday. We'll see next week! )
