This week's 'Face Behind The Voice' in the Radio Times is Mollie Green.

I wouldnt want to see her do the second of her secret skills personally!

Danny Kelly bailed out after an a hour today, as he had the lurgy, being replaced by Daz Hale.

(I know how he feels as Im off work today as well!)

Michelle Dawes has been covering for Caroline Martin while the latter is abroad.

They've just played a trail for a documentary about the Brum pub bombers to be transmitted at 8pm on Friday night.

So that means they'll take the first hour of Mark Forrest, then opt out at 8, presumbly for an hour, then opt back to Mark Forrest at 9.

Why not run the doc from 7pm & opt into Mark Forrest later?

They might do an hour of Sport between 7 & 8. I think the reason why it is going out at 8pm is because that was the hour that the bombs went off.

Daz only seems to cover when they can't find anyone else.

Who is Wm's programme organiser these days?

Remember 20 odd years ago it was Waddo & Simon Lederman, as they only appeared sporadically before, Waddo especially, got regular slots.

I don't know who BBC WM's programme controller/director is but I'm sure it isn't Adam Bridge (although he did hold that role at BRMB at the back end of the last decade).

Adam is a freelancer, with him being one of the main commentators on talkSPORT's international radio Premier League commentary service among his regular gigs away from BBC WM. Were he the programme controller at WM, I imagine he'd be contracted to the BBC and so wouldn't be able to maintain such a level of outside commitments.

I was wrong, but he does have something to do with management

So have a guess who BBC WM's NEW presenter is? Chris Tarrant. He will be on over Christmas and I will post the full Xmas schedule on here when I get it.

Not too sure but, when the xmas schedule comes out you will probably know by the times he is on. I am right in think he used to do a show on Smooth west midlands about 4 or 5 years ago or maybe longer?

CT did the Saturday mid mornings back in the days when Smooth was otherwise full time local, as his show went out on both Smooth & Real Radio!

Was it Mike Osman that used to be his sidekick on that show?

Whoever it was used to do an impersonation of CT !

'That sounds nothing like me!'

Tarrant must be prerecorded.

Tony Blackburn again?

Who the heck is Emma Brittion? BBC Radio Leeds I suppose.

Suppose the Susan Boyle thing is being transmitted at different times on different stations?

It makes a change that Wm is transmitting one of these one off specials as we're still owed some Paul Rowley & Kenny Everett docs arent we?

I guess we will be on recorded stuff from 12 midday on the 25th then?

That's what it says in the radio times. I think some of the shows could be the same.

Tarrant must be prerecorded.

I'd still rather listen to a 72 year old than I would most of today's presenters that's for sure.

The 7-10pm slot is the networked slot so maybe he's doing that NYE show across the BBC local network followed by 3 hours on Radio 2 from 10pm
