I really want one of these evolution kits for my TV but I'm really struggling to find any information about them online, let alone where I can buy one. Are they available for my TV? If so, where can I get one?

Did you check the Samsung website?

It says it is compatible with the "ES7000 and above" - I don't know if your UE40D7000 is "above"

There's also an email address to check availability - sales@samsungexperiencestore.com - so I'd suggest that's your best bet

Samsung rolled out the Evolution Kit in 2012 and it was for the 2012 ES7000 and ES8000 models only. The kit updates the chipsets for about £150. I have a D series Samsung TV and that series was rolled out in 2011 so the Evolution Kit will not work.
