What's the point in given Chris secret power and then calling him to the diaryroom 35 minutes before the eviction ?? I mean even Daniel day Lewis couldn't act his way out of this one. what would have been a better idea is not announce the power to the housemates. But instead on sunday when housemates are given nominations reveal to chris he has the power and he decides who's up. while at the same time allowing the other housemates to nominate thinking they're putting housemates up as well. Anyone agree ?

I agree. I presumed that is how they would have played it. You can only deduce that they are throwing Chris to the wolves.

That's the way i thought it would play out - unfortunately for Chris I think BB wanted them to find out who the PHM is and for it to cause trouble.
