Why the outrage? Does it really affect your enjoyment of the match? Anyone would think this is the first time you people have watched a game of football.

Because it looks stupid. They wear the same colour uniforms, and then garish coloured 80's neon boots of different colours, that is why I and some others moan about it. I hear Alex Ferguson banned them with Man United and they had to wear just black boots, so if the best football manager of all time agrees, I would say us moaners are in good company.

they are apperntly all the new rage.

the boot makers have to come up with something different every time. Also to get noticed now you need more and more eye catching designs.

oh and BTW they come as the set already mismatched.
Shield your eyes!

A bigger problem is how badly the new type of football boots protect players against challenges from opponents.

Again, how does it affect your enjoyment of the game in any way? This is pretty pathetic.

At least with the ridiculous outrage about 'snoods' there was the tiny logic about it being a minor hazard if someone got a hold of it. This is just sepia-toned brylcreem talk. Why can't they just shake hands after a goal?

Joe Hart's black boots are awful with the highlighter umbro badge and laces.

Still can't beat the classic black Puma Kings.

the 'one pink, one baby blue' thing is a bit daft, but so are footballer tattoos/hair cuts etc etc. Not sure they're worse than the bright duck yellow that was so fashionable before.
You'll have to get used to it

Rooney is not only having different colour boots on each foot but will also have L & R stitched on to help when putting them on!
