5 out of the 9 games the team who has scored first has gone on to lose.

Unbelievable.

Another late one/comeback.

Have to say pathetic and naïve from Ecuador, could have held on for the draw and lost it like that, reckless stuff.

For all the poor officiating we've seen at this World Cup, we must acknowledge the fantastic advantage played by the referee in the build up to that Swiss winning goal.

Unlucky on Ecuador, thought a draw would've been a fair result - but perhaps justice was done after the wrongly disallowed goal.

The Ecuador player has to completely wipe out Behrami there or that happens

Every match so far has been entertaining aside from the Mexico - Cameroon game.

Good to see the referee give advantage.

That shows you the value of getting back on your feet fast and taking advantage of a sleeping defence. 99% of players in the 93rd minute would have been happy with winning a free kick. Instincts like that win games.

That's probably the difference between Switzerland qualifying

Definitely got to give the Ref his dues, played a brilliant advantage in the build up for the Swiss goal.

Exciting finish even though I did have money on 1-1. The wait for the first bad match of the tournament goes on. The view from the TV studios looks so good. Just a shame that Adrian Chiles is in the foreground.

Got some way to go to beat that stoppage time craziness of Brentford's missed penalty and Doncaster clearing the ball out and breaking to snatch the title.

He made a mess of the Drmic goal though which should have been allowed.

I doubt the French will be that impressive themselves.
I reckon they'll be decent. Should be good for a quarter final place.

Great win by Switzerland, will want to beat France in the next game as they'll really want to avoid Argentina in knock out stages

Spot on, most referees would of pulled that up instantly, instead he waited and allowed the eventual advantage, really good job on that one.

Quality finish to the game.
