Then two yellows fits the bill. Either that or we send both off (equal, but an overreaction). So, stamping on players can be ignored, but a slight swat back is considered worse? Are you really trying to encourage more play acting? There's too much of that as it is. If the French player had attacked him with force, then yeah, he'd have to go, but that swipe was trivial.
