Pogba shouldn't have even been on the pitch.
By the letter of the law he shouldn't, but common sense prevailed.

Nobody's missed a penalty yet.
There's a joke somewhere in there about England.

According to FIFA Directive 38, Paragraph 4, "Goal-less draws have been banned." Well, they have been so far.
God bless Directive 38, Paragraph 4.

France need to be careful and use their subs well because they've racked up a few bookings now.

The cameras never focus on tubby girls.
It only finds good looking girls it's programmed to

It would depend on how big their jubblies are and if they're showing them off.

The commentators shouldn't talk over the fans signing la Marseillaise.

Then two yellows fits the bill. Either that or we send both off (equal, but an overreaction). So, stamping on players can be ignored, but a slight swat back is considered worse? Are you really trying to encourage more play acting? There's too much of that as it is. If the French player had attacked him with force, then yeah, he'd have to go, but hat swipe was trivial.

Ah, now the Honduran gets sent off.
I don't think there was a stamp, I think he was trying to get the ball but I realise most won't agree. I'm not trying to encourage more playacting but I think dismissing kicks at opposing players because the kick missed is not a good approach itself. Any kick at a player is silly and potentially dangerous and deserves a harsh punishment.

The only team who tried to play football in that first half go in with a 1-0 lead.

I really don't understand how the Hondurans think they can just foul their way through the game and expect to get off scot free.

Great penalty from Benzema considering how long he was made to wait to take it.

Robbie Savage seems to think that shouting out his opinions will give them greater credence.

....well if we qualify and end up taking spot kicks in the knockout rounds....I'm not watching, I'm going for a walk.

Half Time. Started off supporting Honduras as underdogs, but now I hope France whip em.

I'll just stay behind my cushion like I usually do

Cannot stand that kind of football, hate it on any level.

Potentially dangerous? What, a slight swipe is akin to a kicking... or stamping? This is the problem with this type of "letter of the law" approach, you end up leaving perspective and context behind. Oh, and of course the Honduran was stamping (he gave enough stamps to make it clear), unless you're just selective for the sake of it. Me? I'd rather Honduras win, but I'll call it how it is.

I can't even believe I'm cheering on France, they are not a favourite of mine But I loathe dirty cheating players and France have had to put up with a lot tonight. Rooting for them all the way

I love the way Henry is treating Robbie Savage with such disdain

Lying on the ground its harder to do a forceful kick, which he didn't. Beckham was harshly treated as well when he was sent off.

That was so funny, the red card argument they had Henry pointed out that Robbie got away with murder when he played

Deservedly so as well. I'm really enjoying Thierry and Seedorf is good too.

My perspective is that all attempts at kicking, despite the force are very wrong and are worthy of a red card. You open up a can of worms making judgements on which type of kick is OK and which type isn't; it's better to take a zero-tolerance approach to it.

I don't think he was stamping. If you disagree, fine but it's not going to change my mind.
