If I'm cooking them, scrambled. Or poached, with hollandaise, streaky bacon grilled to a crisp, black pudding and toasted muffins.

Pretty much all ways..

Poached, on brown buttered toast, or as eggs Benedict

Scrambled, on white buttered toast, topped with sauted onions, tomatoes and fresh basil (all cooked down)

Fried, runny yolk with a fry up (crispy round the edges if I can). In a sandwich, the yolk has to be broken in the pan and cooked solid (I don't like dangerous egg butties...)

Boiled. Soft, with soldiers

Omelette - not runny. Love making tortilla as well

I don't like eggs for breakfast, at least not until I've been up for a few hours (which would make it brunch I suppose).
The only ways I can eat them are - poached ,hardboiled, or in an omelette or frittata (and only 2 eggs).
I don't particularly like any of them.I just eat eggs a couple of times a week because I know they're good for me.

Mixed heavily with some fresh parmigiano, red chillies and sweet tomatoes. Scrambled and served on a flatbread with some smoked salmon.

Only have it once in a while, too much effort for a morning. Most days breakfast is the usual bread / cheese / meat / antipasto mix of whatever's in the fridge and needs using before it goes out

Eggs are without a shadow of a doubt my favourite foodstuff. Two poached eggs on Vogels bread with lots of black pepper is just heavenly. I'm so pleased that the earlier advice to limit egg intake was debunked!

Yep. This is mine. Real butter. Just the right amount of salt.

As a kid I always made such a mess eating a boiled egg out of an egg cup so I had to have mine mashed in a cup. Had my own Little Bo Beep cup for my egg. Still prefer my eggs that way.

I would love a poached egg but I can't make the blasted things. Any simple, step by step instructions would be gratefully received.

Partial to a fried egg with a big Ulster Fry... dippy egg, tattie bread, soda bread, thick bacon, sausages, extra tattie bread, maybe some mushrooms and a fried pancake - No beans! No toast! Just, no. It's so heavy I actually prefer it later in the day. And someone else to make it so the house doesn't smell of fried things.

This!

I love poached eggs but I struggle to make a decent one myself. Watching all these TV chefs do the whirlpool thing drives me crazy because it never seems to work for me. I'm sure it's dead easy and I'm just rubbish, but hey.

I generally resort to the clingfilm technique (where you make a little egg-in-a-bag like some sort of goldfish from a fair and drop that into the water) but even that seems hit and miss at times.

Definitely fertilised lol - in reply to the OP.

Not really, in all seriousness it's gotta be all about the scrambled variety - if not scrambled then also do like eggs of the poached and fried variety, as well.

Fertilised though is definitely preferable to unfertilised IMO, haha.

Easiest is fried, but the important thing is as fresh as possible, preferably while the egg is still warm from the hen.

Regarding poached eggs, I use a poaching pan, similar to this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/8615095.htm
I'm really fussy about eggs - they have to be very firm, and this is the only way that works for me.

I love fried eggs, but most of the time I crack the things the yolk splits and I end up with a mini omelette.

But they're not really poached eggs, are they?

Poached! My big brother makes the best ones in the world.

Also love egg "en cocotte" but only for dinner.

I love them scrambled on it's own or fried in a sandwich!

Scrambled with lots of smoked salmon through them. Either on brown bread or preferably on a bagel.

Fill a frying pan up with water (not to high so it doesn't boil over once eggs are in), bring to the boil and then crack eggs in (can easily do 4 at once in a decent size frying pan). Lightly boil for a couple of mins (lift eggs out with spatula and touch the white to check if done).

I always do mine like this! it's much easier than using a pot with a whirlpool and have 100% success.
