So disappointed Ed Sheeran has changed his sound
I absolutely loved Ed's debut album. Every single released from it was so beautiful and different. I'm shocked to discover that the song I presumed was the new Justin Timberlake single "Sing" is actually Ed Sheeran. I know it's got him a number 1 single but I think it's a desperate sell out. I'm sure the second album will be hugely successful regardless, but I'm really disappointed in the generic unoriginal direction his music has taken.

I don't think it is a change in sound imo
Quite a few of his unreleased stuff is a bit similar to Sing. In the sense they fit the Urban genre with a bit of a hip-hop edge.. Ed has always been a bit of versatile. I think if people want songs like The A team or Lego house, i don't think this new album is going to give us that. |

I love his first album, so I'll be disappointed if he has changed his style very drastically. I think artistic experimentation is good and healthy but I can't stand it when, for example, a pop singer goes the R 'n' B route.
I'll give Ed's new stuff a chance, though. |

TBH I have never really seen the fuss and his latest output sounds ten years out of date. Sing is like JT circa 02 and the rest is just white suburban semi hip-hop type meh

He hasn't changed style.
Sing is just one song off the new album, check out his performances on Later with Jools Holland on youtube from last month as he sings 2 other songs that are far closer to his first album stuff. I think he is a tremendously talented young singer songwriter. |
