I bet the pundits are thinking they drew the short straw being stuck in the studio for this match, while it's still bright enough to pop down to the beach.

All of Germany's good work to maintain the goals per game ratio is going to waste here.

Can we just all agree to pretend this game never happened?

A player who plays in the Canary Islands?

Surely that's lower than sunday league?

Both teams deserve to get humiliated in the next two games.

This is the World Cup Finals ffs

They could at least TRY!!

Their set pieces have been suspiciously woeful
It does make you wonder. It'd be different if we'd heard about a lack of form etc, but that doesn't seem to have been the case.

Tenerife may as well in the World Cup given the state of these teams.

They should be fined for going against the free-scoring spirit of this tournament!

Iran are happy to avoid defeat, they weren't expected to do deliver but Nigeria will rue this result.

41 goals 13 games still over 3 a game on average.

Let's hope the average doesn't tumble now

I actually think Nigeria were worse than Iran tonight because at least Iran played to their strengths and got the point they played for - the Nigerians had by far the majority of possession but just lacked the quality to do anything with it.

Nothing summed that up more than the dreadful quality of their balls into the box and when they did get a half-decent one in there, Ameobi put it as far wide as you'd think a professional could in that situation.

Awful stuff but a game like that had to happen sometime.

Bit too happy if you ask me. That game was theirs to win. I would have expected him to be livid they didn't get 3 points.
