I have a Sony Blu-ray wi-fi player which has Netflix.

Would it be possible to connect it to a crt tv that doesn't have HDMI sockets only Scart and watch Netflix.

Many thanks.

Ray.

As long as the Blu-ray player has a scart output then Yes.
You could also use a composite video/audio cable if the player has those outputs.

Exact model of player would help answer the question. Then we could look up what connections it has if you are uncertain.

Though dipping into the Sony website and pulling up a few random players does suggest there is a fighting chance it has Composite video and stereo analogue audio sockets on the back which would at least give you something to plug into the telly.

Many thanks for all your help.

It is Sony BDPS 5200.

It's for a tv in a bedroom until I find a replacement..

Looks like the Sony only has HDMI output so you would need something to convert this to composite video & audio for the TV. Amazon have a few converters which should do the job.

Downloaded the manual (http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/4537148111.pdf) and that machine has no analogue outputs of any sort.

Which means that unless you are prepared to invest in a converter box to take the digital HDMI output and convert that into analogue audio and video for the TV you are stuffed.
